Stan-

Another quick question. As I said I'm coming into AC for some play this weekend. I'm either going to drive up late Friday or early Saturday. I have a card with *very* little play on it. If I show up early Saturday and play like all day in a 10/20 game or so, can I get a poker rate for Saturday night (and what is it)? Sorry if this type of question has been asked a zillion times in this mammoth thread.

Anyone playing in the $4-8 stud game tomorrow AND Event #1 on Sunday and want to split a hotel room at the Borg? We should be able to get the $125weekend poker rate for playing in the stud game.

Send me a PM.

Besides the rooms and meal comps, can Stan get us hookers, weed, and blow too?

I think that's what the 3rd tier card level gets you.

If that's the case, I'll start showing up at the Borg and give them real play, not just the times I wanna drink for free before dinner with my wife...

Not sure if it is the right place to ask, but...

If I leave Manhattan at 8-8:30 AM tomorrow morning, how bad is the traffic going to be?

Shouldn't be a problem, but you never know. If its a really nice day, then you may hit some beach traffic about exit 66, starting at the Tom's river rest area back at mile marker 75, about a bottleneck of 10 miles.

Stan,

Can you explain why the black status points do not show up from poker play on the web site? I just reset in April and am trying to get black staus this year, but it's not easy only playing poker.

Even when I do play though, it seems impossible to track your progress and you get all sorts of different answers about how much play exactly is required to gain black status.

tx!

I use the monthly breakdown of comps earned/spent (adjustments column) to track my play.

https://www.theborgata.com/Main.cfm?...tegory_2=15011

I don't have any real shot at black these days, I wish I had the time to get it....

Poker has a different system from the rest of the casino. This is why poker points are not visable on the web-site. There is only one way to get a true number of points for the year and that is to get a shift manager to access your account in person. A bit tedious i admit, but this is the system we have.

1000 comp dollars in a 12 month peroid. Example

1000 hours of 1-2 NL 19.23 hours a week
500 Hours of 2-5 NL 9.62 hours a week
334 Hours of 10-20NL 6.42 hours a week

Or mixture of the above. Hight limit players in the hight limit room may receive their black cards early if playing the big games regularly.

Those figures are actually pretty reasonable, I was expecting worse for black.

Oh on the subject of comps, does the rake you pay from tournaments apply at all to comp dollars / points for black card?

Would be nice if we got maybe 1/10th or 1/20th of every dollar you spend on tournaments, I mean I know rake has to go to pay for all the expenses of running a tournament, but I mean we still pay just like cash tabling, just not as much over the long run. Obviously I wouldn't expect much in terms of comp rewards for playing a tournament, but a couple of dollars would be nice.

Stan,

Based on your posts I'm assuming you work for Borgata. Has anyone there considered some Twitter feeds for the poker room similar to your live game reports? They could be broken down into individual games like Borgata10LHE, Borgata12NL, etc. Or, if you'd rather, those could be broken into small stakes NL, mid-stakes LHE or whatever. It would be really great to have feeds for the lists themselves. I could subscribe to the feed for the games I'm interested in on Twitter and see how the list is progressing, what position I'm in, etc.

I know there's an overall Borgata Twitter feed, but it seems like there's a big opportunity to have more specialized feeds of info for the poker room. It would be great from a player standpoint and should help drive traffic to the room.

Or, maybe they exist and I just don't know? Sorry if this has been discussed to death already.
