Wow how do you guys get suites? Its not even an option for me to select online where you pick your comp rooms. Do you guys do the $20 trick to upgrade your comp rooms?

I've occasionally gone over for a cigar. They have a bar in the back of the room, where I can smoke. I typically pay for the drink, but at least some of the time, you can make a bet and get a drink ticket. I did it once. Whee.

If you are going to have a cigar and a drink may as well play a daily double, I would blindly play 1,2 box and get the drink ticket. You could win a few bucks. Play that combo and you will thank me, seems to win a lot. At least for me.

To those who are able to see Fiori Suites as an option when booking on-line:

Do you play table games as well? The reason I ask is I play only poker, but have a black card. I'm able to book two nights per week (any nights including weekends), Borgata or Water Club. However, Fiori suites isn't even an option for me on-line. When I asked about this with customer service, I was told that poker players are not eligible for suites, regardless of their play or card status.

Yes, I can't seem to manage to just walk straight to the poker room or the events area or the signature room. So I play a little of everything, hit a few k's on some table games, but really all you have to do is play some slots. You should see some suites pop up. At least during the week.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (November 4, 2016) –Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa today announced the spring 2017 debut of Angeline by Michael Symon. Designed by New York’s Parts and Labor Design, the 8,200-square-foot Italian restaurant (named after his mother) will introduce Iron Chef and The Chew co-host Michael Symon to Atlantic City as he joins fellow Iron Chefs Bobby Flay and Geoffrey Zakarian, as well as legendary chef Wolfgang Puck in a star-studded culinary lineup unique to the East Coast.

Previous word was that this will take the 28 West space (is there really 8200 sf back there?), and Fornelletto will close once it's open.

OK. Perhaps I'll give it a shot. Headed down later for a few days with the wife.

It seems that there is always so much going on in the racebook, different tracks, races etc. I suppose asking for a 1-2 box in the next race shouldn't be too difficult. I suppose I can always hand the ticket back for them to check to see if it's a winner.

I think when I did make the bet, it was the same bet as another guy at the bar, so at least I knew it was an actual bet for a race going off soon. Got to cheer for the first half of the race anyway (IIRC).

Thanks

You can always just stick the ticket in one of those machines around the race book and it will tell you if you won

Fall Poker Open Championship
November 18 - 22
https://www.theborgata.com/casino/po...-2016/schedule
Why would you pay 10-15% rake to play in the PokerStars Festival
to play world class players
when you can pay less than 10% rake to play in the Fall Poker Open Championship,
play donkeys, receive complimentary buffets, and play cash games all night with
verified fish?
(Play in 5 Borgata Poker Tournaments in November and receive a complimentary Buffet)

My students were off all week. Teachers worked Monday. Convention in AC Thursday/Friday.

Generally one of my favorite times to play.

Generally NJ public schools create a calendar jointly with the community. Ours has decided that students benefit from a full week of with the parents, and it's scheduled as such.

Each district (usually town) figures out when to start, end and get kids there for 180 of instruction.

In the meantime, room packed, ground out an unspectacular profit with no notable hands. Cigar time now. Hoping not to blow the trip profits tonight after dinner....

Heading out to the borg on Saturday. Any lunch recommendations? My friend said that the food court near the poker room was shut down due to construction but on the website it appears to be open (although tony lukes is gone).
