I don't know how you could force player 2 to put more money into the pot and give the pot to player 1 without him (or anyone) even seeing player 1's hand! It seems to me that the person who did something wrong was player 1 (and of course, the dealer), not player 2. I would sure have had a fit about that if I were player 2.
i like your last points, but not your first. i think it's pretty common, and acceptable to say "call" and show your hand without putting in the money until you know you lost. i actually prefer this rather to people counting out the call and putting it in... when a good amount of time they can just say call, show the winning hand and take the pot... saves everyone at the table the time of watching the player count out his chips for the call. anyway, most of that was a ramble... but my point is i think a verbal "call" is sufficient according to the rules.

Player 1 clearly made an error, but if the cards are easily retrievable from the muck, then the cards should play at showdown. The player declared his cards, and those two cards were the ones retrieved from the muck. Player 2 declared call, thus its a call. Player 1 had the better hand, thus he wins the pot.

Player 1 mistakes this for a fold, ...pulls his bet back, ...and now the dealer pulls Player 1's cards into the muck.

Player 1 had no intention of folding and sees he has the winning hand. His cards are still upside down but identifiable in the muck (2 cards sticking out to the side). Player 1 says his cards were 4d-7d and pit boss rules that the hand is live if the the 2 identifiable cards are as he's stated. 4d-7d revealed and Player 1 wins the hand. Opinion?
I hate it when the dealer just pulls your cards with out asking, player one pulled back his bet, so why would he do this unless he thinks he won? The dealer should have stopped him and asked to put the chips back in or show his winning hand. IMHO...

Trying to plan far ahead and was wondering if the Borgata Fall Poker Open was happening again this year? If so, any estimate on when the series will run? Thanks.

I don't understand why the floor doesn't acknowledge their mistakes and act like whatever decision they make is the correct one...

I was at a short handed 5-10nl must move table when there were supposedly seats for everyone at my table in the main game. The floor says "we have seats for everyone" then walks over to the 20/40 LHE table to do a fill or something. I was first on the list to move but I didn't think it mattered bc there were seats for everyone. I slowly rack up my chips to get ready to move when I noticed everyone a my table sat already and there wasn a seat for me. I ask the floor what's going on and says "seat 3 is getting up." I smh and say "ok". The problem w this is that I should have priority over the open seat. I wait while seat 3 plays another hand and another and another. I ask the floor what's going on and he says "don't worry you will get a seat..." like I'm crazy for asking. I told him how i should be playing right now and how I should have been guaranteed a seat since I was first up. Also just bc seat three told the floor that he will be getting up after a hand doesn't mean he technically has to leave the game when he stated. What would the floor have done if seat three refused to leave and stay in the game? Got no apologies or any of the such when clearly he knew he was wrong and I was annoyed.

The borgata needs to retrain staff for better customer service and quality control IMO and I'm def not the only one who feels this way. Maybe it's a jersey attitude thing...

What? I've seen it run every now and then. It is running now.

I get comped rooms almost every day and I play here like two or three times a month. Do you even play here?

We've had one the last couple of days. Also had a 10-20 PLO last night.

Yeah....

Saw the back end of a $75,000 three way pot at 5/10 PLO about 3 months ago... So you obviously do not play in the back room.

Also still get both comped and discounted rooms, and havent played on a regular basis in a while...

I haven't gotten a comped room in months. It also seemed to happen after my first card that I had for years randomly stopped working. Lost a couple hours of play when they swiped the new one in but it never registered to the site. I haven't been playing as much but I play 1-2 times a month for 1-4 hours each session. Very strange but I can't complain. I will say it has caused me to make fewer trips.

This is probably false. The buy in is capped at $2500 for 5/10. Doubt there was a 30 buy in pot. Haven't even seen close to that while playing 10/25 and 25/50 PLO the past month or two.

Already e-mailed Stan about this, but for the BPO, I get the best rates if I book at the poker rate for the Sunday-Tuesday during the ME and then use my Borgata Rewards offer for Wednesday and Thursday. Does anyone know if Borgata will let me combine these two reservations so that I don't need to check out and then back in between them?
