so borgata is offering room comps to poker players these days?

I haven't been in a while but I remember people getting a reduced rate but usually not room comp for poker

I'm probably coming by today so I guess during the week hopefully they can help me out

Was she young and spanish? Just thinking about her mocking me for not calling a players river bet really still has me on tilt. Thinking about how I tipped her on all winning hands and she makes a comment about my not calling river bet. She even commented why she said it but I didn't catch that part of it. Not her place either way.

Can we get an update.

Noticed the "live update" link usually is from 2:09 AM or 2:10 AM. Not sure why that happens. Does someone at the B have to manually reset the link or something like that.

Heading down this evening and hoping the Omaha H/L game is running

It just updates 5 times a day. It seems to be automatic.

Omaha is running right now; the earlier you arrive, the more likely it will still be running.

I am super low roller. I play in tournaments, but when they are over, I only play 1/2. I get down every two or three months or so for two or three days at a time, and even with that micro play, I get just about every Sunday through Thursday comped (Only two nights per week though). So the Borg is taking care of the poker players big time.

Thanks. How about any mix game under $40/$80. The larger games are a bit steep for me

great news, thanks for this.
how do you get the room, do you have to talk to someone at the poker room or does it just pop up on your borgata card?

I will be there this weekend, and hope to see something small and mixed (3/6? 4/8), or perhaps a pink chip game.

If you have play, you can either call reservations, or login to the website for the MyBorgata Rewards.

Most likely any game over 20-40 will be a mix game mid-week.

They offer them via your borgata rewards card if you check it out online and play enough. It didn't take very long for me to start getting them, I had only played like once or twice when they first rolled them out and I was getting 1 night a week and discounted rates for weekdays. I still don't play much (come like a couple times a year and each time I come I come for like a week), yet I still get pretty decent comps (I'm up to like 2 nights free and I can even get saturday's discounted which is pretty awesome, wouldn't stay for a week if I couldn't get that). I don't play high limit either (it's mostly 1/2 for me when I'm there, occasional black jack but not more than like a few hours the whole trip) so you don't need to be a baller or something to get comped rooms.

Thanks. I checked my card and I do have most sun-thurs comped, but this week I don't and I'm half way there lol. There must be something happening at Borg this week? My rated are $200+

Played the second of 2 sessions I've played at Borgata last Friday. The poker room and staff were fantastic, even though I ran bad and had to deal with some real a**holes at my table. Would be nice if dealers/floor were more proactive about keeping folks civil at the tables (especially the drunks).

Very impressed with the comp system and that I've already earned a free room with only two sessions of 1/2! I will definitely be back. Does anyone know of an easy way to get to Borgata from NYC? Last time I took a bus to the boardwalk casinos and then caught a cab, but it's a pain.

Cheapest way is to take the Academy bus to a boardwalk casino, spend the free money they give you at that casino, and then take the Jitney for $2.25 to the Borgata. There really isn't a more direct way unless you drive.

Re: Cheapest way is to take the Academy bus to a boardwalk casino

***

Greyhound is cheaper and marginally safer than Academy. The best deal from NYC is on the Chinese buses though the health and safety records leave much to be desired.

You do have to book in advance. The further in advance, the "greener" your calender will be (green indicates full comp on website).
