Been waiting to make this 1000th post for a little bit, but I knew I had to make it here.

While clicking the last post button for this thread, I accidentally clicked the number of replies. I was pretty surprised to see that I had the 3rd most, behind DCJ and of course, Stan. It has been an enjoyable time through the last 2 years as a regular poster and a little over a year as a regular player.

I have decided to significantly decrease my play due to the grinding nature that being a regular at a casino has on the rest of one's life. It seems that playing so much has adversely affected my social life, as well as the amount of time I have for my work exams.

Luckily, it has not affected my financial state. In fact, it has been quite the opposite. I would like to thank

nocrying: the first 2+2er i met for being a good friend and guide to live poker

Pippen33: I met this beast playing PLO a couple years ago, and we have become good friends since that time,

esch: I played PLO with this sicko almost every week for a year and learned a lot by watching him play and talking to him. You're a great player, and continued luck in crushing whatever game you are playing, and finally,

Stan is the room manager of the best poker room in the country, and thus is the best room manger. He is very active and helpful in this thread, as well as being very welcoming and generous to players at the Borgata. Thanks for all the help over the last couple years.

I will still play on occasion since I love the game, so hopefully I will continue to see all of you around.

Alan

Just got back from borgatta, havent been there in over a year. Got in around 2pm Friday got of to a horrible start played until about 11pm. Some guy with dreads and a heroin spoon for a fingernail almost got me back to even when I flopped nut flush checked it on flop . 3 way pot guy guy bets 25 on turn I push all in with 280 dreadlock heroin spoon finger all insta shoves with 10 2 clubs lol. By the way I had a coworker with the same pinky fingernail hollowed to spoon proportion and he used it to sniff heroin. Dreads stacked a guy with black borgatta card for about 1600 in an amusing pissing contest. It was comical because he kept refering to himself as a black dreadlocked dude and that he would never steal from anyone but black borgatta card guy kept looking him up one time with ace duce and no ace even on board for an 800 dollar pot.

Played today Saturday from seven am until around 8pm. Was at a good table before I left. Guy hit set 3s with 30 dollars on flop and all ined it. Another player calls with just a gut called 180 bet on flop and hit lol. Some nice people at the tables but also a few duches . A lot of proffesional dealers but a couple of ones out of line getting too involved in the action more so then they should have. One dealer chastised me for not paying off a guy when i hit aq and 2 10s on the board I thought it was really unprofessional of her. I treat everyone at table with courteousness and respect as well as dealer and always tip the dealers and waitesses. Dealers should not alienate good customers. Pretty sure couple of 2 plus 2ers where at that table.

I played all 1 2nl except for trying 2 5 , the table played like 5 10 . People betting 50 pre flop and continuation betting 150. Didn't stay there long maybe a couple of orbits. Most of the dealers where really outstanding and proffesional. I stayed in abscelon payed 110 for a miserable hotel, I think it was the heritage inn. Good time playing a lot of poker. Payed a ton in rake. Should have at least had my parking validated for goodness sakes.

I am the guy with a good game imo who can't seem to relax at the poker table and comes off as a bit of a psycho because of how nervous i feel in the poker room setting, but am as I said respectfull to everyone just feel really uneasy at the poker table (shrug).

Probably the same dealer (last week) who asked, "What... no redbird?" when a player won a sub-$1k pot and threw her $2. I just sat there with mouth agape and then asked if I had just heard that.

During my first visit to the Borgata last week, I played three long sessions of 2/5 in three days. I just checked my offers and see that I'm already getting comped rooms. That is outstanding. As stated in the Foxwoods thread, they just lost me to the Borgata.

Neither story is uncommon. Yesterday a male dealer after not getting a tipped on 2 $20ish pots in a row but did on a 3rd said something to the effect of "look everybody...a tip!"

I think many dealers feel entitled to getting a tipped and that they should get one one on every pot (no matter the size) and a relatively substantial one at that. In actuality they should be thankful and apprectiative when they receive one at all. Especially when considering the varying levels of service, competence and attitude.

1/2 no limit. when you buy chips what denomination chips do they give you? for example. i plan on buying $300 worth of chips for 1/2 no limit. will they give me 290$ worth of 5 $ chips and 10, $1 chips? or will they give me 4, $25 chips, and rest $5 chips? what's the usual denominations for each chip? thanks for your help.

You'll usually get all red chips from the dealer, unless the rack is short, in which case you might get green chips.

Note that the cage will not sell smaller denomination chips in quantities not in multiples of 20, so you wouldn't be able to get, say, 4 $25 chips from the cage.

U can only get multiples of 20(white), 100(red), and 500(green), etc. So basically anything divisible by 20.

There's only one Borgata. I love a few different rooms, but there is really only one room that stands alone in the eastern US. I had an opportunity to visit the Borgata today and I admit, it's been far to long since I've played there. The place was packed when I arrived at 11AM. The table was soft, the action good and the dealers top notch. It's the only place outside of Vegas that is Vegas once you're in the casino. Stan and his crew should be very proud of the product that they deliver to the poker world. It's a high standard (too high for anyone else) and maybe because of the atmosphere...maybe because of the staff.... maybe because it's a destination....I'm not sure, but no room is run better, draws more or offers players better comps. TR to follow soon.

Same here, made the switch earlier in the summer after the offers started rolling in. Foxwoods taking away summer room comps and offering discounts instead...and giving away 12 packs of Pepsi as an incentive...no thanks.

Keep up the good work Borgata.
