Paying time is better than paying rake for the player. I think that most of the "fill problem" stems from the BBJ and the need to constantly refill the $1 whites. There haven't been too many situations where I have seen the other chips need to be filled because there are a lot of $$ worth of chips in the rack and change can always be made at the table. It would be nice if there wasn't a 5 min break every 2 hours or so. Note that I play 5/10+ so not sure how it is at 2/5 and 1/2.

I think there's some exaggeration going on. 5 minutes for a fill? Come on.

What is the earliest time to check in ? playing sunday DS but want to check in the family first ? If i go at 11 will they allow to check in ? Thanks.

You can usually check in after 6 AM, so you should be fine.

Definitely you'll be allowed to check in, I used to do it at like 9 AM all the time. More than likely there won't be a room available though. What they'll do is tell you to go to the desk to the right of the front desk (where you can drop off your luggage to be held if you wish) later in the day (usually by 4PM they should have a room for you) and they'll give you your keys.

There are no guarantees on an early check in on a sunday. There are a lot of check outs on sunday and they will need time to clean the rooms.

Just got home. Unbelievable turn out for event 1. I did not fair well. Paid for getting good cards first three levels by going pretty much card dead next 7 levels. Tourney ran as smooth as you could expect with insane turn out. Agree with the comments on the dealers. I understand the logistical nightmare it is to bring so many in for a huge event, but I had a couple of doozies. I want to thank both STab for a job well done. I even got to meet [name removed] for the first time and she helped me out. First time staying at Water Club. So much > then Borg tower. Was able to pay for tourney buy in and expenses with cash game winnings, and would have had a neat profit if not for my flopped to set of K's getting raised all in after flop by player with A/A not sucking out two outer on river, but whatever. Good luck to all with the rest of the Open.

Even though you might not got into the room, the wifey and kids may still get to play in the pool...

A $10 bill goes a long way to getting what you want when checking in. Do it discreetly when you hand them your players and credit card.Ask nicely for any available room. You never know. It pays off for me about 1/2 the time - even when they first tell you nothing is available. Just ask them to please recheck

You should be OK. Long lines up stairs for sure morning of tournies, but an hour should get you in for first hand IMHO.

Check in whenever. Check bags with bell desk until room is ready. You get the key at the bell desk also once its ready. Any one can get key if their name us on the room. So make certain your wifes name is on the room and she can get the bags and key while you play tourney. Last time my wife hit 1800 on .25 slot while I was waiting in line to register
