played the 1-2-5 plo game late last night.. helluva loose table.. alot of big stacks.. got stuck a buy in right off the bat when i got in all in on the flop with the nut straight and top set.. guy snaps me with bottom 2 pair, and obv. hits runner runner flush. nh sir.. rebought and quickly doubled back up to even, and won a couple small pots to show a small profit.. i like the $5 blind raise, creates a little more action, and def builds pots.. would def. agree to playing it again, rather than just 1-2.

Is there any interest in a low-limit OE, say 4-8 to 6-12, or a low limit seven card stud H/L, I remember playing in a pink chip 7.5-15 7CS H/L. I would like to see something on the board to sign up for...what would you guys like to play?

Renault is a little easier but still a challenge and around 80to play or less. Plus if you like wine it's a winery! Galloway also nice but may be private. Avoid seaview- I just dont find it to be worth the money, and not particularly challenging.
It would maybe be ok if you can't get a little further from city, pines course is actually better then their championship bay course. The links on margate is also ok before the summer time, but just ok, horribly maintained in my opinion, and burned out by early summer.
Renault and Twisted Dunes are great choices, if you want to spend alittle less try McCulloughs which is a min down the street from Twisted Dune, and still a fun course. Also Ballamor is in the same general area and is another great one. Scotland Run is really good but it's like 40 min towards Philly.

How is the smoke in the casino? Ive been reading multiple Borgata reviews online and it says the casino floor in general is super-thick with cigarette smoke. I personally dont care as im so very used to smoke of all kinds, my mom not so much. Id prolly bring her and my brother and my mom plays tons of slots and degens it up like a pro, but she wont play if it reeks of smoke. All casinos in Ontario are smoke-free so usually when we are out gambling there is zero issue as all the smokers are outside.

Sooo yea, is the smoke bad on the gaming floor? How is the smoke in the poker room? Thanks

There has been some complaints about smoking being done in the bathroom. But the poker room is non-smoking itself. Now I smoke so if you can smell smoke from other parts of the casino, that I wouldn't be able to tell because I am a smoker. But there is no poker room in AC that is a smoking poker room anymore.

Hmm ok cool non-smoking poker room I like.

I just was worried that it was really bad, this post was just made a couple days ago at a recent review and he made it sound like it was insta-death as soon as you step into the casino floor lol.

"ONLY 2 cons...#1 The line to check in was SOOOOOOO long! However, it did move pretty quickly. #2 The smoke throughout the casino almost chokes you to death. It is REALLY thick."

Dunno what he is smoking (lol), aside from walking through the smoking sections I don't smell smoke at all. Should be noted that there is a smoking table game section close to the poker room, but I don't feel as if that smoke blows over to the poker room.

Poker room has a recessed entrance, yes you can smoke in the hallway leading to the poker room. But the gaming tables there are far enough away, with the poker room recessed enough that you can not really smell smoke in the room at all.

Especially if you are not playing games in the front (I think the low limit and 1/2 NL maybe?) If you are playing 2/5 and above (not too mention higher limit in the back) you can really not smell smoke at all.

BUT as a corollary if you are walking through the main casino at all, especially if you go ANYWHERE near murmur's smoking exit at peak times during the night (which you really have too... I mean stretch the legs and laugh and leer at the sl00ts / penguins toddle around in their heels...) you will pretty much be breathing second hand smoke then.

I'll play 4/8, 5/10, or 6/12 OE or stud 8.

Very tough to get players for these games though...even on Saturdays.

If I want a copy of the original tournament finishing position sheet, will Borgata be able to accomodate me? I am referring to the pink sheet you receive when you cash in a MTT which you bring to the cashier to get paid. Borgata keeps the white(original) copy, I believe.

this has been tried multiple times and failed...it's a shame...the pink oe game has been running everyday for a few months now at another casino across the parking lot

I'm interested in this as well. I'm looking into being staked and it would help if I could have access to the dozens of tournament payout sheets that I have nonchalantly tossed in the past.

Haha yea that is the reason I am interesting in acquiring these sheets. Don't have great online stats, but got a couple cashes in the wednesday tournaments, so hopefully those will look ok to backers.

I do not smoke and notice when people smoke near me. I never was bothered walking through the casino to the poker room. I generally walk from the indoor garage, across the casino floor, to the proker room. So I'm pretty much going right through it.

If you go strictly for poker (not staying in the hotel), why don't you just park in the surface lot right behind the poker room?

Stan, are you able to spread a mixed game that features HOSE + NLHE or PLO or is HOSE or OE the only spreadable mixed games allowed in AC? The post about Delaware offering 7-game mixed games had me very intrigued.

They can do a lot of different mixed games.

I've seen HOSE, HOE, OE, NLH/PLO and HOSE + NLH/PLO. I'm sure if you can get a few people together that want to play a particular mix, they'll be able to help you out.

That's great! Now would anybody be interested in getting a HOSE + NLH/PLO game going on Saturday, say 10-20 (2-5 NL) or 4-8 (1-2)? I can get three players for either on Saturday by early evening (5ish all the way through the night).

*EDIT* Now that I think about it, this would be great for tomorrow night (Thursday) as well if anybody is interested.

Is that Andrea as your avatar? If so, seems as though you may need to change that soon
