anyone know if I'm able to book 2 different rooms on the same date? I get comped and good rates, and I know I wouldn't get both rooms comped but just wondering if I can get better rates on the 2nd room I book

I've gotten the 2nd room at whatever the typical discounted rate was ($59, $79, $99.) I've only done this once or twice in 7 years, tho.

But really, you should just call reservations, since even with my answer, you still need to call reservations anyway. And if I said no, you'd still want to call reservations anyway.

hey stan,

im thinking about booking some rooms to come down to the borgata open. can i get the poker rate for nights that i can't use my comp rooms. also is it possible for me to book all at once.

for example i would probably like to spend 7 or 8 nights in a row at borgata. something like Wed-Wed while using 4 of my comp rooms (2 per week obv) and then book the rest at the poker rate.

thanks for your help; you have a great thread here. every time i'm at borgata i ask if stan is working cause i would like to thank you for the work you do at the thread/in the poker room but apparently you work days while i play later.

The 2/5 games are awful so far today. Let's hope tomorrow is better with the freeroll and all.

What might work best for you is to do the following:

Book your comp rooms online. You can only book 2 or 3 comp days in a row depending on how highly you "rate." For most people, booking the Fri/Sat nights at COMP will save the poker rate rooms for when they are cheaper. EASY

Fill in the gaps w/ online reservations at the poker rate. Also EASY.

Talk to a poker host about getting adjustments on the poker rate rooms. MIGHT WORK.

Link reservations at check-in every couple of days to keep the same room for the week. You can also link over the phone, but could conceivably run into issues if you try to link too many days ahead of time.

One warning tho. It is borderline abnormal to be able to book more than 4-5 nights in a row w/o some really high rate showing up somewhere, so you might want to plan ahead and think about coordinating with a friend some "gap" rooms (i.e. nights 4,5,6) to get the best value overall.

And i hear there are some games that don't count as BBJ? Why don't they? I read that its only high limit games?

The important thing to remember is that the bad beat at the Borgata is at a very high number: BBJP $412,302, which means any understanding spouse will understand if you excuse yourself after dinner, drive down to the Borgata, and play for six days and bring home the bad beat money, or a diamond choker, diamonds usually get you the keys after the locks have been changed, at least it should work the first time you take an extended absence from home for a worthy cause: to win the Bad Beat Jackpot!

Omaha h/l doesn't participate b/c you get four cards instead of two and make all sorts of straight flushes and quads with great ease, or at least I do!

Stan, do you know if you guys will be having freerolls for September? I emailed you and I got no response. Asides from the freerolls do you guys have any other promotions planned?

Also even though this is highly unlikely any chance you guys will add two days to qualify for the Sept. 6th freeroll since we lost two days in August?

I like this idea as I was counting on getting to 250 hours this recent weekend... Stupid hurricane!
