What's the ruling if on a cash table someone bets out (HU on river) and the other person flips over one card, then the better mucks his hand thinking the other guy folded. What's the local rule on this, cause it sounds like an angle shot people would do... also, would the ruling be common all over AC, Vegas, etc?

tks.
A turned over hand is NOT a fold, although you will get a penalty for doing it in a tournament.

I can't speak for all over AC/Vegas, but in the Borgata in a cash game there is no penalty for turning over your hand. They will tell you not to do it and give you a "warning" if you do it, but your hand will definitely not be declared dead or anything like that.

I don't know how many people will bust day 2 of a $3,500 then come to a 1-2 table so it won't be THAT much diff than any other Tues. Maybe Slightly busier....People that bust from your friends 350+50 should fill some 1/2 and 2/5 tables starting at 1 or 2pm.

You'll have plenty of game selection....It's The Borgata...no worries.
Thanks Pippen...that's what I thought, but was not sure as I couldn't remember from last year.

Who cares what the ruling currently is?

I think the consensus is that this tactic is obviously not in the spirit of the game of poker and arguably should be changed such that exposing one or both cards (whether in a live game or in a tournament) equates to a fold, and, thus, a dead hand.

I assume at Borgata if you continue to do it, more than a warning will apply. What that is I do not know.

People who use it to legitimately get a read and are clear about their actions - "I am not folding, I am just turning over my cards" - are not doing anything wrong. People who try to manipulate the rules into tricking their opponents into thinking they folded are angle shooters.

Sure they are. They are breaking the rules. It is that simple.

You have to clock out. You will be automatically clocked out if you don't do it yourself, but you'll be credited with zero hours.

Why is it that whenever I check the borg website for my comp dollar balance it never seems to accurately show how many I've earned / how many more I need to maintain black label for another year? Am I missing something? I feel like I've put in more volume than it shows I have and it's bothering me.

They're $1/hr for 1/2 and $2/hr for 2/5 still, right?

Is there a better / more accurate place to view these numbers, or am I sol?

poker is using a different system than the table games and slots. Comp point balance may be off while using online to check points,

Is HOSE and PLO 9 handed or 10 handed? I always played 10 handed but anytime I wanted to play a game saturday seemed like they were playing only 9 handed. I swear I took a shower before I came downstairs - hell I even shaved!!

How deep does the 10/25nl usually run? Figure like a Fri or Sat night. Is it like standard to buy in 300+ bbs, or do most buy in for 100-200 bbs. Thanks

I see 3/6 HOSE got off Sat? Lots of ARGERS? I just signed up and locked in a room for this year's ATLARGE. Hope the NLHE is deep-stacked like last year.

I'll be down Sat around 1pm and would DEF be interested in some 3-6 or PINK HOSE. If not, I'll kill time at 1-2 or 2-5 waiting for PLO to get started.
What's an ARGER? The ATLARGE? I'm not familiar with these terms.

Thank you.

Yes ATLARGE is basically 1/3 of the ARGE events.

ATLARGE - AC
FARGO - Foxwoods
BARGE - Vegas

I joined via a friend at work about 3 years ago.

It's derived from an (old?) site called Rec. Gaming.

R.G.E is Rec Gaming Excursion

The AT at the beginning signifies ATlantic City

I'm not familiar with the whole history of it as I am a relative "noob". I believe, in some way, it was (an earlier forum version) similar to 2+2 in that LOTS of poker was discussed.

There are others on here that can explain it better including Selling the Drama. He won the NLHE donkament at both The Taj AND Foxwoods in 2008. Luckbox IMO....JK...JK.

It's held at The Taj every March. 3 tourneys. HOE, NLHE and Stud-8. Lots of fun and lots of good poker players.....and degen gamblers. If you've played pink games, there were prob at least 3 ARGers in that game.

Wish it would get moved to The Borgata but what can you do?
