Not really. I've wandered a quarter of the poker room without finding any sometimes. Employees are often grumpy about getting them or helping to get them for you too.

Confirmed that employees do go around taking them from chairs and under tables. Never really understood why until Stan just said it. I assumed it was some safety issue (ie they don't want them lying around on the floor for people to trip on).

I thought I solved the rack problem for lower-limit players earlier in this thread.

There's a window to the side of the cashier cage, like right around the corner to the right if you're facing the cage, with a person in there that will give you a rack if you ask for one. You might have to "interrupt" a security guard handing in BBJ or rake money, but I've been polite and they've never minded me "interrupting" their transaction for literally five to eight seconds to grab a rack.

It's as easy as walking over to that window anytime you need a rack.

If you play higher limits, obviously the high-limit podium is the place for racks as Stan said.

I've seen dealers, floors (just yesterday one took it from behind my seat), and players take these racks.

It doesn't really bother me since I always give up the rack if I see someone needs it. Having to go hunt down a rack at the end of a session is a good problem to have.

I seriously doubt the chairs were designed that way just to hold racks. If people didn't hoard them it'd be much easier to find them when you need them. Coincidentally, the one time I asked the floor for a rack she got it from someone's chair...

wtf...They're racks. they're free, if someone needs one, you give them one. If you need one, and can't find one around you, go to the cage and they won't charge you anything for as many as you want. I can't believe so much has been said about something as trivial as racks.
