He is a psychopath like Trump, everything he said he was right. No (explicit), you have to show the hand first even though I was the last aggressive, (explicit) dealer I will show it anyway but you are wrong, (explicit) you, you slow rolled me with the 8th best possible hand. Everything he said was the rule, reason he didn't feel he had the pay the guy, he said he never put the money in, the rule in his eyes is he doesn't have to pay even though he verbally said call 3 times.

Played 3 days and comped 2 days. I went with friends and played craps with them at one point and did 3 days 7+ hours each day at 2/5. I had anyday of week comps and now I only have Sun-Thurs. I was told because I bet the minimum at craps it hurt my rating. What the heck? Was literally told by a host that if I hadn't touched craps I would probably still have my Friday/Sat night comps because of my poker time.

Floor allowed a string bet for a regular, which shouldn't have been allowed. Two dealers couldn't even count chips during all-ins and after the 3rd try for them to count, I had to call floor.

This was one of my fav places to play but after this last trip I probably wont be back for awhile despite winning over 700 BBs during my stay. Having a winning session and saying I won't be back should tell you something of how frustrating it was to play here.

Is there an event Thursday? All the comped rooms were sold out since beginning of the month.

The event is that a ton of people have Friday off for holiday.

Hmm weird I was able to get Wdnesday and Friday comped but not Thursday. Maybe its just a coincidence.

The floor and dealers have gotten really bad and the action above 2/5 has really dried up.It's a shame bc it used to be a really well run room with good dealers.

Yes we do. We *used* to be at the Taj and then moved to the Trop and now made our way to the Borgata this year. YAY! Should be a lot of fun and we're trying something new on Sunday for our tournament. Pot Limit Big O/Super Stud!!!

I tried the first couple steps.
1. Signed up for the Hyatt card, got approved, waited for it to arrive. It arrived.
2. Clicked the link to status match at M Life. Took over 2 weeks, some 'system is broken' replies to my questions and an angry response to yet another ML rep giving me the same steps to login to Hyatt, Opt-in to matching, login to ML. I think it was eventually done manually, or maybe the system is working again.
3. Have not been down to try the upgrade, now that it's showing on my phone (app).
4. I've already got a few questions about Black Card perks.
a - Free valet will save me $5 per trip, not bad for nothing, not worth keeping a $90 annual card (in years 2 and beyond).
b - Have not been to Amphora. What's down there? I expect that I'll tip servers. Other costs? What if I don't have $20 in comps for me and a guest when I want to go down?
c - A lot more buffet trips this next year Assuming that if I don't have the comp dollars, that I can pay the $10.
d - Haven't prices out merch, but unless it's pay 10%, probably not enough to get me to make a purchase
e - Not a problem at the water club, useful at the B.
f - FINALLY. No more angry wife watching them slide people in before us. Now an angry wife watching them allow others who have been waiting in the red line go before us (fairly).
g - Not quite sure what that will mean, but maybe weekend comps, or better rates?

I believe you need to have the comp dollars to use both Amphora and the $10 buffet. You can't pay cash.

But Amphora lounge is really quite good and singularly makes the Black card worth it. They of course have free drinks, including stuff you can't just get free in the poker room. But the food selection is good quality for a buffet, certainly better than any of the CET Diamond lounges. They always have peeled shrimp, prime rib, another carved meat, and several main dishes, vegetables, pasta, and sides. Also sandwiches, hot dogs, and desserts. I will usually choose to go there over the actually buffet.

You won't get any better room comps; this is based on your average play. And the black card lines often don't save that much time because so many people have black cards.

Well, that could present a problem. It does make sense, to encourage more gambling to get more comps. Also cuts down on eating every meal for $10 for me anyway.


Cool. Now I just need to earn enough to use it.
As mentioned, I assume I'll tip servers. Do you usually tip as they come around each time, once at the end, once when you arrive?
Not experienced with the Diamond lounges either...


Oh well, they do mention it in the perks. Probably assumes greater play to earn/maintain black card status, and better offers.

You definitely need the comps on your card. No cash or credit. Just save them up from the poker hours.

Tip at the end of your meal when you leave. I usually tip 5 just for me. More if you had a lot of drinks or more people. I mean, the drinks are good. Each would be 7+ bucks anywhere else. Tipping 5 is a no brainer.
