noted, also what about my edit:

Do they have ATMs? I'm setting aside 5 disposable buyins for 1/2, but I really would prefer not carrying that around (much less leaving it at the hotel). Do they have ridiculous ATM fees?

I seriously have no idea, I was 21 when I last went and carried a $1500 wad of $20s. Now I'm a bit wiser and would prefer not to get mugged on the way to my hotel.

I could potentially see them angling and having ATMs have $5 fees with a $100 cap per transaction, which is why I ask.

Cool. If you had to guestimate about how many people might show up for Mondays tourney, being that it is memorial day, how many would you guess? Just trying to get a rough estimate

Thanks!

I know the ATMs at Harrah's have a $5 fee. I haven't used one at Borgata in a while, but the last time I did, I think the fee was $3.50.
But carrying $1500 to a casino is really no big deal at all.

I know it's no big deal inside the room, but why risk getting mugged outside.

Another consideration is I'm going with a couple of friends who don't play much and haven't been to a casino before. They're going to have a couple hundred, and I don't want to intimidate them or whatever if I bring a lot with me. I also want to avoid having them ask for loans and stuff if they busto, I'd prefer them to use ATMs.

If you feel that strongly about it, you should contact the CCC.

The last time I was at Borgata, which was a while back, the Wachovia ATM at the valet gave withdrawals for Wachovia accounts with no fees.

And I don't know the max withdrawal for sure. From what I remember, it's at least $800.

Was there this past Fri at the tables. Is it just me or have they been using less alcohol in some of their drinks? I had a vodka cran there and it definitely tasted a lot more cranberry than vodka. Had to tell the waitress on the next go around and the second one was better.

This happened in the 10/20 OE game in the stud/8 half. In a full game, only 9 players are dealt in and there is a button rotating around the table with each player sitting out one hand.

The dealer accidentally dealt a hand to the player who was supposed to be out, and realized the error after dealing downcards to all players and upcards to about half. According to the poker guide book at Borgata, the rule is that the dealer finishes dealing all hands and simply kills the hand of the player who wasn't supposed to be dealt in.

Some players thought it was a big deal and insisted on calling the floor, and shift manager, who both insisted that it should be a misdeal. This is in direct contrast to what is explicity stated in the rulebook.

Stan - do the rulebooks need to be amended or does the floor need some instruction about house rules?

About two years ago the C.C.C. changed the regulations and allowed 10 people to sit at a table where stud was being dealt. This was because of the multi way games being dealt. However, the C.C.C. made it very clear that the 10th person may not be dealt in a stud game. The rotating button was put in place to insure fairness as to who was being dealt out. If the game had been nine handed and a player was mistakenly dealt in, then you would absolutely be correct. In this instance I have to agree with the floors ruling.
