I'm still enjoying some of the scenes in how they are filmed, they have been eerie in places. I'll keep watching, I'm glad there is a zombie show on TV.

BUT

Its really really really hard not to get all nitty about it because I would be scared ******** and taking every precaution possible if there were undead crazy killing things walking around anywhere in the US, let alone 10 miles away, good Lord

I thought the redneck would come back and save them all with a one-handed rampage.

OK, so this is not a great show. At times it's truly terrible. It is time to just enjoy it for what it is, and pardon it for what it is not. At least we got a full-on zombie attack.

God bless you, elderly-helping Vatos, God bless you all.

Want to remind me of how it works then? I know they mentioned if you get bit you have about a day before the fever kills you (pretty standard in zombie movies), but what about after you are already dead? How long does it take to reanimate from that point (usually a minute in everything). I also wonder if any death causes reanimation (a la Romero). In that case, the Mexican gang stronghold is pretty much a death trap.

Like seriously they just have a camp with no people on watch? ****ing ******s.

The blonde chick having an emotional mourning scene with her sister makes very little sense in a post-zombie apocalypse world, as was apparently everyone else sobbing over that chick but not the other 5 people who got eaten. Also if the audience was supposed to care we probably should've had more than 1 scene with the younger sister.

P.S. Don't people who die of bites come back as zombies?
Im sure there is some significance to the scene that will be uncovered later.. i mean they spent time building it up with the necklace in the store if you remember. And yeah lame about not setting up any parameters in the camp I mean they should have seen that coming from a mile away with the zombie that got close the day before.

Looks like we are gonna get our villain after all.

What I recall is that it was a matter of days before they "rose" but I could be wrong on that. Whatever the timing was, it wasn't instant.

Yeah, adding a few coefficients to their model could have been a life saver.

I am to the point where I am certain this show is a level and they are purposely writing badly in order to make the zombie carnage more satisfying. You have no idea how badly I wanted dead sister to insta-change into a zombie and suck out her sisters eyes just to be rid of one more atrocious character.

Note to the show's writers: every cliched character that you write doesn't have to be undone by some unrealistic to the point of being awkward twist. The asian kid doesn't have to be a pizza guy just to shatter our expectations that he is probably a rocket scientist because ldo he's asian.

We don't need the tatted up latino gang bangers to care for the elderly and we don't need marginally attractive women to catch bucket loads of fish and debate the technical points of dry lures vs wet to undertsand that, sure, women aren't ONLY good at giving blowjobs and baking brownies.

At least we can count on you not to shatter any of our prejudices about southern white males. I am a little dissapointed though that there are no gay people yet in the show. I think maybe you should re-do the next episode and have a gay muslim save the life of the ingorant racist guy who sawed his hand off. If you are looking for anymore great ideas that I feel would really mesh well with the tone of your show feel free to pm me here.
This, lol.

I know jaw muscles are the strongest muscles human beings have but I think I saw some zombie just bite off a big piece of meat off a human with a single bite and that's just huge exaggeration especially given zombies' dental condition.

The zombie attack in the end redeemed a lot so I'll tune in next week as well.

Surely the show can just be summarised thus.

CONS:Lots of things suck.
PROS: ZOMBIES.

So far PROS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>CONS, because zombies are awesome.

I thought the mexican gang care home was so bad it was good, I think it is some of the best unintentional TV comedy I have seen in a long time and I loves me some of that. The segway from the Mexican stand off to the we is running an old peoples home was so clumsy and contrived it just seemed like pure parody.

yea, the first 35 mins of that was horrible, horrible stuff and even bad action.

End attack on camp was good. I mean zombies were eating people, esp the abusive dude, so that's cool.

Nonetheless, this is some bad **** to be putting out there, especially when you have a short season to fill and you've got this kind of crap in it.

Hopefully they leave behind one-note cartoon characters and the crappy RV camp now though.

Question:
Did I miss something b/w frog catching and fish cleaning? Last I recalled wife was telling partner to stay the eff away from her son under punishment of death, and this ep he's like "come clean some fish" and the kid goes and the mom is cool with it.

Yeah they could have easily transitioned that better than some old bitch walks up and starts whining. I still like the idea though. Some people just wouldn't be able to leave them behind like that to defend for themselves. Although it taints the idea that they weren't willing to trade str8 up asian for mexican. If he's that caring for the old people then he wouldn't want to risk them dying over a dispute with unknowns.

I liked everything involving the racist brother this episode. He seems much less cartoony and more reasonable than his brother. I liked the opening scene and the small stuff around the camp.

Last 5 minutes were A+ too. Although I hate to nitpick an awesome moment (sister getting bitten), if you see a zombie infront of you then ****ing run bitch lol. In the comics the zombies weren't this much of a threat though. The characters easily outran them with a steady jog.

Liked how there was a moment when you could see the zombie blood splatter on the camera too.

True, except for "You've got some pretty big balls for a Chinaman" right before they go after the bag of guns. That made me cringe.

America is one big parking lot with cars everywhere. You grab a bunch of those cars, find some RVs probably as well, siphon gas whenever you can. Your supermarket is every empty house's pantry and your constantly foraging for non-perishables and misc. supplies.

Your indefensible position where zombies walk in undetected is lol. You don't need to be living in tents. It would seem you'd think to find a farmhouse surrounded by open land and make that your base of operations. Post a sentry on the roof 24hrs so you can see afar in all directions and you're safe.

And you're not sending your teams into downtown Atlanta to pick up a bag of guns and supplies. Your picking up a gun in every third house in Georgia and getting supplies from houses.

I think the only thing that'll save the show is if they take a small core group of interesting characters and take them on the road, traveling all around the country, encountering other pockets of survivors. And zombies, of course.
agree with all this, and I thought it was great all the dumb people got attacked and killed. they were dumb and paid for it. awesome, right?

I can almost forgive the idiots setting up shop in the forest - obviously someone somewhere would do something along those lines, and those people would probably be in Georgia.

The worst part about the gangster stuff was that it almost seemed like a good scene at first. My initial thought was that they had some sort of badass plan that would throw everyone for a loop. After all, the plan couldn't be to just walk in with your two buddies and threaten 20 guys right? Right....? RIGHT?!?!? OH WHEW THERE'S A GRANDMA NVM CLOSE CALL.

I don't recall seeing any "randoms" at the camp in the first few episodes and yet it looked like at least 3 of them were killed in that last scene. Did I miss something? Where did they come from?

And now for some comic relief, T-Dogg aka IronE Singleton is apparently a rapper. Here is his lol bad website: http://www.ironesingleton.com/Home.html

worst part about the mountain camp is that yesterday a zombie WALKED INTO CAMP!! and what did they do to protect themselves from the inevitability of further invasions? GO FISHING!!

This show is the greatest show ever. All of you nitty McNit pickers must have hated night of the living dead. Who cares if things are logical? Or if characters are racial stereotypes? Go with the flow. Some people exist to die.

Because it's a friggin' horror show!!!! Let's build a big base camp where nobody can get to us is lame. Let's forget about what happened and wait for the big zombie assault is awesome!!!

actually I think a base being attacked by zombies wouldn't be so lame. an endless flow of zombies attacking peeps while they run out of ammo, etc, would be pretty awesome to watch. for 10 minutes anyawyas

It really wouldn't be that hard to fix either. They could just compress the timeline a little and drop a few lines here and there and keep everything they've done to this point. As in:

1. The RV group traveled to Atlanta because they heard it was a safe city. They got there and found it overrun with zombies and just set up a temporary camp in a secluded area to figure out what to do.
2. They had a good reason to go into ATL where they met the sheriff. (for supplies is lol)
3. The primary reason to go back in is to free the racist and the bag of guns are an afterthought because they know they can get guns anywhere.

And then one scene injected somewhere where a couple guys go out in the jeep and come back with tons of canned goods and misc items foraged from rural homes. It wouldn't take much to get rid of this whole survivalist stupidity issue.

To be honest, I have no idea how this show last into season 2 or 3 while still being interesting.
