Phil,

That route is possible, but I don't see it playing out that way. I think the camp is too finite (too remote, not enough survivors, etc...) to make a compelling long term series. I think they will move sooner than later, are accepted into a bigger camp and one that has it more together (flying the helicopter in ep 1, while these guys were picking mushrooms).

Ofc that's just a guess, I haven't read the comics or anything.

Yeah, i also assume they will be doing this in season 2. I would guess most of season 2 will be moving around trying to find whatever is left of the living, probably raiding towns to find supplies and such.

In the episode 4 trailer video that showed after the third episode

Spoiler:
It showed the group in the city meeting a whole other group of people, or at least that is what it looked like to me. It also showed the Asian kid grabbing the bag of weapons I believe.

Edit, looked quickly for this video all I could find is this Spanish version which is a little more revealing than I remember the one they showed after episode 3 being.

He was easily the best character in jericho and this because he is a refreshing breath of intelligence...exactly. People who know stuff and have a plan are attractive

** Speaking of that bag, as much as I didn't like cartoon-racist-dude, I do kind of hope he somehow found the bag and they discover him strapped Rambo style and going ballistic on some zombies.
i hope he turns into mega-racist-zombie boss that they have to fight at the end of ssn 1.

YEUUUSSSS

and in place of his missing hand is an automatic weapon that somehow fires even when the dude's a zombie

and his drug intake should interact bizarrely with his zombification, granting him uncanny powers, like infrared vision or super-speed

SO PUMPED

I had a massive post typed out analyzing the show and expressing how great I thought it was, but then I fat fingered it and lost it. How ****ing tilting.

Cliffs:

-Love the show so far
-Character development is great
-Love how it concentrates more on the characters and emotion than horror (as one of their ads touts)
-Great camera work and juxtaposition of shots so far to evoke different emotions and symbolism

Just watched first 2 eps and love it.

Was I the only one who instantly thought about cartman's facewarmer when the cop woke up with that beard? =)

I'm still wondering why they wouldn't all return to the police station with its security, hot water, electricity, etc. I guess that's somewhere between details nittery and plot nittery. Maybe they could all get lice and we could nit about nits.

Also are there previous examples of in zombie lore of zombies that eat animals? I thought they only wanted braaaaaiiiiiiiinnnnnnns.

Telling the redneck that they left his brother handcuffed on top of a building in ATL was really ****ing dumb. They should just kill that dude now before he inevitably teams up with his one-handed brother to wreak havoc.

I also thought "Don't worry he won't wake up" was the wife referring to personal experience. She also could've said "Hey, I know this great place in the woods you can plow me from behind..." I think she's actually not super-psyched that her husband was back - she asks him if he wants his wedding ring back and he's like "Of course" but it's a really weird question. Clearly, their relationship was not stable pre-zombies.

Clearly the partner isn't going to just give up the ghost on the relationship. I think it's possible that their affair will begin again even with the hero back in the camp. I hope something like that happens instead of partner just becoming an Iago.

in the beginning of the pilot, when shane and rick were sitting in their cruiser before rick got shot, shane got rick to admit that he and his wife hadn't been getting along.

OK, finally we get some A+ zombie killing, but at the price of some truly extraordinary "WHY IS EVERY CHARACTER A MORON" stuff?

Like seriously they just have a camp with no people on watch? ****ing ******s.

The blonde chick having an emotional mourning scene with her sister makes very little sense in a post-zombie apocalypse world, as was apparently everyone else sobbing over that chick but not the other 5 people who got eaten. Also if the audience was supposed to care we probably should've had more than 1 scene with the younger sister.

P.S. Don't people who die of bites come back as zombies?

Ending was certainly enjoyable though.

Now I'm curious to find out what the zombie transformation rules are in this. In practically every other zombie thing you have no time for mourning, but no one seemed to be in a hurry to take out the guys that got bit.

The violent mexican street gang with a heart of gold angle was quite stupid, but loved the ending of the episode LDO.

At first I thought it was the obvious, lone zombie kills wife beater dude in tent, which everyone was predicting.

I certainly didn't expect a huge zombie battle with multiple casualties.

I thought when girlie got bit on the arm they were setting up a she's sick but her sister refuses to let her go and the group has to wait and watch her become a zombie angle, but neck bite was awesome and unexpected.

In most zombie fare it's actually quite a long time before the bitten transform, sometimes takes hours or days. 28 days later was sorta the first "zombie" movie to introduce the almost instanteous transformation.

I meant the ones that were already dead. They usually turn within minutes, if that.

This had a lot of ******ed scenes but the zombie battle and a dude getting shot in the ass by a crossbow is enough for me to give it a B. Overall it has gone from very good and settled into something that is worth watching but i'm not excited about anymore.

Also, faik we haven't seen a single zombie transformation yet which is pretty surprising four episodes in.

The first ep of this show made it seem like it would be a lot less schlocky than it is now.

Enjoyable, but yeah- the plot is only really moving in the direction it is because everybody is too dumb.
