He did die about 20feet from where tonchichica did. And my aunt proceeded to a funeral without my permission, even though I got there 12 hours later. So don't really know how he died. 4am. Chairs scattered everywhere. Wallet empty. History of strokes.

I did get to keep his slingshot though. Sweet. How does one sell a ranch in Mexico? I am so clueless. My aunts want it bad. I need to get down there, but only narcos seem interested.

So many sad cat stories. I love cats and I havent had one in a long time, I had an awesome siamese that I think was deaf. She almost never talked and when she did she could barely make real noise. So beautiful.

I also had a real cute kitten get kidnapped on me once, in a locked apartment building she got out while I was watching a movie and nobody returned her.

I also had a cat that was 1/2 sized, real good looking. Got her from the pound and she stopped growing at kitten sized and was a little sketchy from who knows what but she was awesome.

I had to get rid of 2 cats due to moving into places that didn't allow pets over the years. Really brutal. Never again.

So whats the deal with outdoor cats? Can I have an outdoor cat and have it not bring rabies/lice etc into the living room?

all my cats growing up were outdoor cats. It's fine. More potential for death via animals and cars but I think cats are happier when they can go outside.

I want a cat now.

The avg lifespan of an outdoor cat in the mountains of Colorado probably isn't too high IMO.

My male cat (the eponymous Montecore) is sitting next to me on the couch right now. He's a pretty cool little guy.

Do cats even get lice that can live in human hair? I am guessing fleas and ticks will be the main issues assumin vaccinated for rabies.

My old cat was an outdoor cat. My new cat goes outside too. Just get them their shots, get them fixed, and they should be ok. They'll get in fights and might get into a skunk or run into dogs or coyotes sometimes but cats like being outside and they can bring you birds, gophers, voles etc. as symbols of their love and affection.

One of my cats got its ass kicked something fierce by a dog. We lived on the beach and the dog, after basically ripping out half my cat's abdomen, was dunking it in the ocean and the cat started swimming out to sea to get away. My mom ran the dog off and brought the cat in. We figured he was a goner but he lived, but was super paranoid after that. He also fell asleep up in a car engine and my mom drove like a mile before realizing he was in there. Didn't die.

Later he just disappeared for three months. After a month we gave up and ended up getting a kitten. Then Arrow triumphantly comes home skinny and filthy as hell. Awkward.

What a boss

I have my doubts that an outdoor cat is the move in the mountains also. I've been told stories of mountain lions scooping up pets off peoples porches. Its too awesome to not be worth the risk for the cat though with a stream and mice and so much fun stuff. Can duke it out with the beaver if he wants. I'm not sure I like that beavers dams anyway.

My parents got their first cat a few years before my sister and I were born; he was likely at least partially bengal, as by the time he was six months old he'd go out to the balcony of their apartment and jump up in the air and catch birds in between his paws. He grew up to be 22+ lbs, and loved my sister to a pretty ridiculous degree. There are pictures of her at one year old yanking the **** out of his tail while he purred up a storm, when at the same time everyone at the vet was scared to deal with him and worse shoulder length burlap gloves to handle him. He took down a pheasant, held his own against a fox, and beat up our neighbor's dog routinely. Such an awesome cat.

I've done barbell glute bridges before...but apparently I was doing them 'wrong'. I nearly always felt it way more in my hamstrings then my glutes.

So I did some reading today, and tonight I pulled my feet in, raised my toes off the ground - and when I stood up I felt like my glutes were in a permanent state of squeeze for like 5 minutes.

As I was getting up from laying down and expressed a verbal "jesus christ" and this guy asked me if I was alright lol - then he asked if I was deadlifting or squatting and I was like wtf, I wasn't laying there that long but apparently he just didn't see me doing the lift when he came around the corner. I fully understand his slight concern at seeing a guy laying on the ground splayed out underneath a barbell...almost ggo'ish

i had to see my kitty put down on Christmas eve 2012. we knew something was wrong for the better part of a month, and wanted to wait till after Christmas for obvious reasons, but we couldn't keep watching her look so uncomfortable. near 100% kidney failure. that was a rough Christmas.

Are you disappointed that Steve Jobs died without ever giving you the chance to blow him?

All this talk of cats getting offed lead to me dreaming that I tried to euthanize one of my cats (for some unknown reason) with a gun. Only trouble was I used an air gun with teeny tiny ammo which only slightly injured her and lead to pathetic mews. Possibly worst nightmare I've had, woke up feeling like utter crap.

In conclusion, **** you guys.

So bored at work that decided to take a break from counting my paper clips and killed some time glimpsing thru the last two LC-threads.
Man that was a whole lot of LC in one sitting, hope I didn't miss anything significant.

July:
- Stars and stripes, firearms, bald eagles.
- FREEDOM.
- Jesus-hating, freedom-loathing communists had their posting privilege restricted, for reasons unknown.

August:
- Rustly resigned.
- Nameonthecake inquired about alternative methods of transportation and eventually purchased a vespa. No-one knows why. Seems slick tho.
- After consulting other forum epicures, fakeB decided to celebrate his birthday by treating his elfen taste buds at a McDonald's establishment.

Also lots and lots of talk about tadders and/or tedders but very few pics

Anyone have an ipad mini? I'm thinking of getting one (retina obv) but I dunno. They're $400 still and they came out almost a year ago. There's gotta be something better around the corner I'd think...
