Here's my entry in the real life cat murder story contest. Wife's uncle and aunt have had a cat for a few years, and for some reason don't want it any more (I forget why, may have been some behavioral thing like Monte, but not sure. I'd ask the wife, but even bringing this up will induce a couple of days of rage). So her uncle takes the cat out back and kills the cat by bashing his head in with a large rock. GoldenB's dad is a ****ing saint in comparison.

Brutal man.

FakeB, keep your friends close. Keep your enemies closer. loco has a golden opportunity for revenge when it comes time to pick pop's nursing home.

Loco's dad died at some point, fairly young iirc

That sucks loco; sorry bro

ETA: Good christ, Melkerson. I think you "win"?

Yeah he passed away but I have been thinking about this all day and I am now pretty sure he hosed him down with the flea spray.

He also ran over over our Labrador. That was an accident for sure because that happened right in front of me. Dumb puppy liked to nap in the shade. The shade unfortunately was behind the rear tire of the truck. I can still hear his bones cracking. Tried to stop my dad, but I couldn't yell in time. I went to go visit my childhood home a few years back and a neighbor says he can still hear my screams of "Apaaaaaaaa noooooooooo!!!!" thirty years later.

Shiet happens. We go find more pets. Different colors are cool and the different personalities they have. Pretty happy with our brown chihuahua. His personality is 10/10 so we are desperately looking for some dog for him to machinegun. I am going to see if there is a tinder for dogs, he should hopefully be coming to the USA#1 very soon.

Saw the ray rice video. Basically they wer fighting verbally with a little pushing, his fiancé rushed him and he did a 1 punch KO. Probably happened so fast he didn't even know it was happening till she was lying on the ground. This actually isn't any worse than I thought it would be. I think it is kinda hypocritical for the NFL and ravens to dog pile on him now after thy already ruled on the matter.

Definitely appreciate your #hottake on the matter, jdock. NFL really **** the bed though. Hopefully TMZ has the proof that they say they have that the NFL saw the elevator vid and still only suspended rice for two games the first time around.

Comic relief, it's 12 minutes old!

I definitely am not down with spousal abuse, but I am really curious what the nfl thought had happened when they made their original ruling, cause it was exactly what I thought had happened.
09-08-2014 , 09:03 PM
jdock,

I'm pretty sure you can puzzle out the reasons for why the NFL did what they did at pretty much every point of this process.

Iirc he hits her and then she rushes him and then he kos her.

Kind of agree. WTF did they think happened in the elevator? What footage could they possibly have seen (which resulted in her getitng KO'd, since they knew that happened) which would have made them say "OK, 2 games is fine".

This is basically Goodell's way of fixing his mistake of not suspending him more initially. It's pretty transparent. But it's one of those things that no one is ever going to call him on because no one really feels bad for a wife-beater. No idea what the CBA has to say about all of this, but I imagine his attorney can find some grounds for an appeal. There is nothing really "new" about this evidence.

Aren't they recently talking about mandating a 6-game suspension for domestive violence in a CBA amendment (the same one eliminating adderall suspensions).

I'm stumped on the initial two game suspension. Maybe you can help me out on the "reasoning" behind that

I think that (i.e., 6 game min) became the rule just after Rice was sentenced.

That's what they're representing, but it's just more of a general guideline for punishment (there were a lot of instances in that announcement where they said punishment could be more or less harsh based on "extenuating circumstances"). It's essentially no different than the current pardigm (i.e. Goodell just does whatever the **** a plurality of owners tell him to do), but it feels different, which is the important thing (for the NFL).

That would be pretty devastating for the NFL. Goodell might be tempted to put a hit out on someone to prevent that from happening.

They thought they could get away with it. That's pretty much it.

They would have too if the second angle didn't leak.

My first cat got killed by my dog.

Probably no coincidence that to this day I prefer dogs to cats.

I had to put my old cat down last winter . 17 years old, I went the old fashioned route of going to the vet. I got a nice memorial stone and have her cremated remains. She was an awesome cat

My new cat is a real tough guy. Here he is letting me know that he does not approve of changing the tv from animal planet:
