Trump and Sessions Denied Knowing About Russian Contacts. Records Suggest Otherwise.
At a March 31, 2016, meeting between Mr. Trump and his foreign policy team, Mr. Papadopoulos introduced himself and said “that he had connections that could help arrange a meeting between then-candidate Trump and President Putin,” according to court records.

“He went into the pitch right away,” said J. D. Gordon, a campaign adviser who attended the meeting. “He said he had a friend in London, the Russian ambassador, who could help set up a meeting with Putin.”

Mr. Trump listened with interest. Mr. Sessions vehemently opposed the idea, Mr. Gordon recalled. “And he said that no one should talk about it because it might leak,” he said.

Several of Mr. Trump’s campaign advisers attended the March 2016 meeting, and at least two of those advisers are now in the White House: Hope Hicks, the communications director, and Stephen Miller, a senior policy adviser.

After Mr. Trump was sworn in, he could not escape questions about Russia. At a Feb. 16, 2017, White House news conference, a reporter asked Mr. Trump, “Can you say whether you are aware that anyone who advised your campaign had contacts with Russia during the course of the election?”

“No,” Mr. Trump said. “Nobody that I know of. Nobody.”
lmao mueller unsealed that before interviewing hope hicks. hey girl

Yeah thats perjury by sessions

The funny thing is Sessions comes off the best in the story by far. And the idiots are going to drag him down with them.

Sessions is a former US attorney and prosecutor. Relatively speaking he was even worse, because at least he has some area expertise. He's the friggin AG.

I hope the US adopts a half-cent coin and that they put Trump's lying mug on it. Can make it out of orange plastic.

It's just endless evidence of collusion. Everyday. From every single person involved with Trump. How are these people not in jail?

You don’t believe that surrogates from the Trump campaign had communications with the Russians?” he asked “I did not, and I’m not aware of anyone else that did,” Mr. Sessions replied. “And I don’t believe it happened.”

It happened.

So i think carter page threw sessions under the bus, saying he personally informed sessions about his trip to russia during the campaign.

I was reflecting on this earlier. This really is going to turn out to be the most elaborate, multi-layered, and successful conspiracy of perhaps all time. It's beyond anything really ever seen before in history. And we get to live through it's unmasking from beginning to end!

Most awesome of all: the entire thing is going to be brought down by the pure incompetence of almost everyone involved.

I mean, we're seriously about as far through the looking glass as it's possible to get here. What a ride it's going to be.

Trump tweeting about DNC rigging, the real crime here.

The dangers are all true enough, but one very likely, imo, perhaps the most likely scenario is that Trump magically stays out of legal trouble and any harsh conclusions by Mueller by simply being too dumb and incurious to care what anyone around him was doing and he never bothered to understand it too much, and even when people tried to inform him, he didn't get it.

He's going to get off by being a mental incompetent, basically.
The problem with this take on both of your parts is trump, absolutely requires he be in the loop of everything. He has never tolerated people doing things without his approval and has even scuttled positive programs in his businesses for this very reason.

So no the chances trump and his family not knowing about this stuff is extremely unlikely if you take into account his entire history on earth.

How dare you sir! He'll just say something along the lines of "I did not say 'stop talking because it will leak.' To the best of my recollection, I said 'please stop talking, I need to take a leak!'"

New conservative hot take - Dems colluding in the Dem primary is exactly the same as Trump colluding with Russia.

So you know how Mercer came out and denounced Bannon softly and Milo hard today? Turns out money talks and billionaire investor money screams.
