Lol, you got a fake passport for me? Felons aren't allowed to obtain one... you're not Neal Caffrey by chance are you?

Thanks for the very intersting theads eeonblue. I read your old one and this one and didn't have much prior insight to addiction so it was great to hear your stories.

Unfortunately I don't have any help to give, but do with you guys the best and hope you will kick the habit for good.

I did notice some mentioned ibogaine, and just happened to see and episode of Vice where they had an about 15 minute part about treating heroin addiction with it (and some voodoo ceremonies). They had to got to Mexico though to get it since they got in trouble for administering it in the US. Here is a link to the description of the episode:

I think you mentioned you PM'd many people, so if you PM'd with mods you could ask if they can help you recover your old account. Not too easy obv since people don't want any accounts hijacked.

Yeah the old account doesn't mean much... Now my 2004 account would be great to have back . I've read about ibogaine and it used to anger me that i couldn't take it in the USA but I'm good now... Just need to stick with it. I see an addiction specialist one on one every week.

I didn't know that? So felons can't leave the country to travel on vacation?

In Virginia you have to write the governor to get your right to have a passport restored. Same with voting rights... Gun rights are rarely restored but it is possible for nonviolent felons.

Layzie, does it make it easier getting clean knowing you've done it before?

No. Jail made it easier cause I had no choice. After two weeks it feels so good to not wake up sick everyday. And now the fact that a dirty urine screen is the only thing standing behind me and a return to prison is ample motivation to stay clean. Thing is I've already gone through all this and still relapsed. Number one factor for me staying clean is staying away from the old crowd.

Just finished the prison thread. Good thread.

If you're clean for say a year and relapse and shoot up one time will you be dope sick the next day?

If someone that is trying to stay clean relapses is it likely when they relapse they just say screw it and start using like they used too or can they just use once and go clean again?

Even though the threads were made a long time ago I'm glad you made them. I've never used drugs and never planned on it, but your threads really got me interested in learning more. And like some posters said in the prison thread your patience with answering some the questions is awesome. Thank you.

Theoretically, you won't be dope sick after one use with a year clean. The question is whether or not you can do it just once.

Thanks for the kind words the threads were therapeutic for me and if I helped or taught something to just one person it was worth it. I don't think anyone should be applauded for answering all the questions in an ask me thread but i def appreciate it.

do the cravings fade after a while? Iv done xtc a few times and you def get some cravings after a few weeks, but they usuallly just fade away.

And i supose the hardest part is, that you have the memory of feeling amazing, and then going back to your boring old life to never experience that again. And not so much the fact that your brain is damaged?

Cravings are gone. I crave pot more than heroin but I get urine screened every week.

Life is not boring. I'm used to waking up sick and having to shoot up to feel normal. I haven't felt that "amazing feeling" in years. Nowadays I go to the pool everyday, work out and and go to work. A lot better than worrying about getting arrested everyday.

As for the video I'm on the twoplustwo app and it isn't clickable.

I've never done opiates but I'm sure the "cravings" on ecstacy are completely different. With E you might want to experience the fun that you had again but opiate addiction is a whole other thing based on chemical dependence. I would think that the small percentage of people that get addicted to E are psychologically addicted way more than chemically.

Never seen anyone addicted to E and I've been around it a lot. If you read my first thread I discuss my distribution of mdma charge. I've seen people fiend for it while already high on it, but never seen someone dependant on it day to day. This coming from someone who had taken >100 pills over the course of a few years.

I agree. I have a buddy who got caught up in E for a year or so and did way too much. He was in a bad place career/life wise and would roll about once a week doing up to 25 (that's right) pills during one session (maybe over 2 or 3 days). Like I said before, he never showed the signs of chemical addiction but I'm sure he was psychologically addicted and looking for a way to escape his miserable life at the time.

Yeah I've had some three day rolls.. most I ever took in one session was 14, but it was nothing to pop 4 or 5 at once. If it truly "burns holes" in your brain I have no idea how my old friends and I are still alive.

Addiction to E boggles my mind as crazy as that prob sounds... we just got sick of it.

layzie, you mentioned in the prison thread that as soon as you got off probation you were going to move. What ever came of that?

How long did you sell weed?

I decided to stick around because of family. I have 4 brothers and my mother is here also. I come from a really close family. I sold weed on and off for about 4 years or so.

I have a brother who cooked and used meth for a few years (I know LOL JESSE PINKMAN!!) Out in the north Dakota area. He moved back here and hasn't used in about 5 years. He's a unique individual in that he has the willpower to just drop an addiction and leave it alone. It's real strange... he did it with cigs last year after 20 years of smoking too.

Have another brother who had a cocaine problem in his teens/early 20s. He's been clean for about 12 years. Both are now married with kids.

My younger brother has a bit of a drinking problem but since it's socially acceptable I guess most people don't consider it a problem.

All 3 of them smoke pot daily.

Oldest brother had no problems... been in the air force for over twenty years and flies government officials in a helicopter in the DC area. Getting his clearance level with 3 felon brothers was an interesting process.

His two kids and former girlfriend moved out to south Dakota and a few years later he moved out there to be with them. He got a job on an oil rig and then ended up in ND. I don't know exactly where but not far from Montana. He went from lesterville, SD to yankton, NB, then to ND. I visited him in NB and SD, but when he went to ND I was doing my prison bid.

Good thread imo.

Question for Layzie:

Do you still go to Phish shows? If yes, do you find it hard to stay sober?

I find it really hard to travel around from show to show and not party as I go. In fact, that is the main reason that I have not gone to any shows this year.
