i love this thread. I'm on record here saying I wouldn't pay either due to the freeroll factor. That said, MM seems to be acting like a 13 year old girl being pulled between two groups of friends. Grow up, don't pay until proven JY wasn't broke, and let it be ffs.

There are no winners as a result of this thread, especially those of us hitting re-fresh!

MM Cliffs:

Not going to pay

ok, thought it through, gonna pay

ok, thought better of it, not gonna pay..

Just like, "XYZ poker player scammed me", this should serve as a signal to people making and receiving sports bets.
10-30-2013 , 11:48 PM
MM just trying to balance his paying ranges with new decision,IMO

(Posting for entry into freeroll ldo)

Chris made the right decision in the end. His initial reaction was that he had clearly been freerolled and that he shouldn't have to pay, and I'm glad to see that he ultimately went back to that despite JY trying to drag his name through the mud online.

It's shameful and embarrassing just how much scamming occurs within the poker community.

Did Christopher ever get that stake in the WSOP btw?

Seriously, both of em' were being goofballs at some point. I say JY more to blame by a slim margin.

Scoring it overall, I would have to say -1 for MM though (obv. considerations obv.)... A minor -1 fortunately.

Lol @ Jason thinking 2+2 was going to just instantly side with him without assessing the situation first and piecing things together to figure out he was talking out of both sides of his mouth and extremely shady. I mean, kid, these folks cracked the UB/AP scandal so it's not hard to make light work out of you. Try not being shady before threatening to run to 2+2 for help.

ha jason young, take that! lets go MONEYMAKER!!!!!!

Good for you Chris. Its good to see free rolling dirtbags like Jason finally get what's coming. There is nothing worse than having someone owe you money playing effing 5k events, but that seems to fit with Jason's MO.

Also pretty crappy to think he basically opened a restaurant with your money. Too bad this is all illegal, otherwise you could probably end up with a peice of THE TURN.

*cut to goodfellas scene of joe Pesci torching the restaurant*

Putting aside this $18k because that hasn't been confirmed and going on what has been established which is the $2k known to be outstanding as at when MM made the bet with JY, does that matter if JY is, for practical purposes in real terms and treating it as a hypothetical, $13k up after he receives MM's money and makes good on the $2k owed?

Does anyone see anything wrong with this scenario that he only pays when he gets the revenue and at best he is only $2k down to pay, at worse he is $35k down (2k plus MM's $15k and the unconfirmed $18k) and assuming the $18k debt does exist and JY repays that from what he received from MM - ultimately $5k down as of April - is that really all that bad for an agent or at worse if JY is considered to be the bookie?

A couple of marginal poker players blessed with positive tourney variance trying to bet multi dime units on sports always ends badly. Wish you fools would throw a little vig free action my way.
10-31-2013 , 09:58 AM
oh give the guy a break. The poor fellow just wanted to get out of that filthy world full of scammers and scumbags so he needed some money to invest in a restaurant. He will probably stay in contact with yall forever with brief radiosilence when he plays his 5k tournies cause those require some attention.

One time?

Anwyay....I missed this place. Hope I didn't do more damage than I helped.
This is the 2nd time NVG has mercilessly berated sheets into offering a freeroll (1st time he sent money to a wrong account and posted about it, then NVG called him a douche so he offered to freeroll the money if he got paid).

Take note NVG, any time you see sheets post give him hell and he might offer up a freeroll.

I feel like there's a whole industry in poker dedicated to separating chris moneymaker from his money
10-31-2013 , 11:09 AM
Ill start out with this...most of the things that most of you are saying dont mean anything to me because me, and the people involved know the truth, so random people ive never met or never had a conversation with your thoughts and inquiries literally mean nothing.

Some of you that have come in i havent spoke to in a couple years such as jonas (riverboatking) we are cool- we had business with each other and if i recall i let him as well as countless others carry large figures for extended periods of time with me personally. it would be nice to see some sort of mention of that. Off the top of my head I had dealt with jimmyc,professorben,ak87,bkice,jc alvarado, charder, jestein, bronbron, nutshot, howdoiplayxx, zjazja, completedonk, bigpotpok er,max, rbk, gostatego and dozens of other high stakes regs that i cant even recall at the moment in one way or another with $ whether it be pools, backing, vig free action whatever- ive met many of them etc.

i ran a pool on here a few years back bravejayhawk won for close to 10k

people such as chris tryba and mike beasely had pieces of me at various times for large scores where they were paid out large 5 figures within seconds

ive done online swaps for high 5 figures with the likes of the lab rat and many others

ive helped many people by backing them

ive given randoms from 2+2 freerolls into wsop events

ive freerolled people such as ryan eriquezzo, chris lindh, gordon eng in wsop events

this list is rather endless...and if need be i can continue-

assani i feel will be making a post at some point today clarifying our situation to make it a bit more transparent. that was the first time we had ever bet with each other and it was mutually terrible communication on both of our parts- but no bad intent at all.

as for chris- i feel these messages will clarify things alot more for all of you fanboys that have your heads up your asses.

as for allen- shut the **** up, i know you in real life- ive known you for 5 years- you know how to contact me if you have any questions, you know who im friends with, you see me whenever the rare occasion that i do get to play poker these days.

as for me playing- if someone is willing to put me into a tourney of course im going to play.

this is my first time using this imageshack mess if something is out of order or missing i will try and correct it
