Well, if it's possible, why don't they go and do it and win millions?

Of course, they're not going to go do it because if they have the ability to do so, they might as well skip the whole poker thing and just hack banks directly.

You mean in the same way you are pretty adamant that on line poker is rigged?

Of all the theories in this thread, I still think those that maintain that doing a crime like this as a ongoing "job" as opposed to maximizing as much as possible in as little time as possible (with some variation depending on the ramifications of being caught) is perhaps the most removed from common sense. Even superbots makes more sense.

Problems with committing a ton of "smaller" crimes:

- More chances and exposure to be caught

- Much longer time frame where all sorts of conditions (including any flaws) can change.

You were a bonus whore who never actually learned to play the game. Do you think you would have been better off doing less whoring because if you and others did that then the bonus whoring would last longer (which it would have). Answer is an obvious no because getting as much out of it before it ended was the best choice to benefit you.

Agree that whoring more would be better, but i did fine with my limited time.
Whoring was killed by the business modell, a good cheat will work for a long time.

re: The great "Poker is rigged" debate - Collected threads edition

Why is the voting poll shut down? This thread has had a large number of views and replys, it would have been interesting to see a huge number of votes instead of a small sample. It is a little fishy that the poll is shut off! how long was it open? There are a lot of people that think like I do (IT IS RIGGED)

I have my reasons for thinking that online gambling is rigged and I doubt anyone could change my mind short of some kind of outside control. All of the (ones) that are so sure about these sites being legit, what proof do they base it on? They base it on their own belief or on the word of someone that is associated with the site? They are propaganda specialists and try to knock the comments down with words like (rigtard) and statistics that all is swell. Why do these sites still accept US players and deposits if they are so straight? All I can hope for is that all of these believers get sucked out on 1000 times with 1 outers at the river and maybe? Until then, click your mouse and loose your house to the very very straight and honest untouchable, unaccountable off shore RIGGED POKER SITES.

BY the way, just watch some of the replays and see all the crap that happens when you can see all of the cards. AAAAAA every hand and watch how the cards hit the palyers still in the pot. It's not sience, just freeken comon sense. Don't let your desire to play cloud your judgement.

Just my 2+2 cents on the subject again

Oh no, a completely nonscientific poll that was open for around a year is apparently now closed. Obviously 2+2 is in on the rigging!

Because it's legal for them to do so?

LOL, I can see you're using the same critical thinking skills here that have helped you decide online poker is rigged.

The poll is still open. You can't vote in it because you have already voted.

Always remember that 50% of people are below average (median) intelligence.

And 37.9% will be way below average intelligence.

Possibly because there are a great many things you do not understand clearly.

The lack of a single shred of evidence that the sites are rigged.

Seems very reasonable to me.

Quote:
hey base it on their own belief or on the word of someone that is associated with the site?
No, they base it on the fact that many analyses have been and are being undertaken and none show any rigging currently taking place.

Again, it seems very reasonable to me.

Nice use of English.

Or, make a nice little extra income because we actually understand something about poker and spend our time improving our game rather than whining that 'online poker is rigged' like little girls.

A quality analysis!

All those hands you see with six aces certainly give cause for concern.

Oh, wait, you don't see hands with six aces.

His mistake is actually worse than this. When you have voted and you are logged in with the same account, it says, "You have already voted in this poll." But when you are not logged in with the same account, the message says, "You cannot vote in this poll", I assume due to an IP check. I checked this by just opening another browser that isn't logged in at all.

So he is a gimmick who voted with another account.

I think everybody who voted in the poll, yes or no, were pretty sure of their opinions. That's part of what makes it a flawed poll: it tends to polarize the subject.

Well Id say posting consistently over the 830 pages of this thread that all you PIGs (Poker Industry Generated responders) have made it very clear where you stand on the issue.

Id say many of you are damaging your own attempts to debunk the poker is rigged debate by posting for so long on such a consistent basis. Its common sense that many of you simply must have a vested interest in protecting Online poker to devote so much of your time to this debate and include so much detail and length in your posts.

Do you PIGs think that one day you will look back at what your are protecting and feel shame and guilt for your actions?

I would imagine the vested interest is keeping people like yourslef who say poker is rigged (without any evidence) from influencing new and bad players to not deposit.

If poker turns out not to be rigged will you look back with shame as a person who makes unsubstantiated claims against the innocent?

Yes, this has been agreed.

Of course, you have to remember that the poll was created by a rigtard and they are known for have a polarised view.

Indeed.

That there is no evidence that rigging is currently taking place so, given the vast number of people analysing their own and other's results it seems improbably that rigging is occurring to any significant degree.

If you posted that Lyons was the capital of France or that common salt was made of sodium and fluorine, you would have your error debunked with every post you made.

There's no reason why you should not be similarly corrected because your posts demonstrate a lack of knowledge about probability and maths rather than geography and chemistry.

It's only common with the level of sense that says that despite their being no evidence whatsoever of current rigging online poker must, nonetheless, be rigged.
