gas cards and what not... tougher to bargain.

tourney entries... sell them the day of to people in line. you'll get huge returns. who wouldn't want to save a quick 20 bucks?

easy to do at derby where it's literally a chip or a piece of paper. not sure about hard rock where they sometimes make you put a name on it or make it a hassle to transfer.

Not so easy to do at Derby anymore. They now give you a printout with your name on it (excepting the morning freeroll tickets), and for the most part they are non-transferable. I guess they figured out that when they are transferable, for the most part all it accomplishes is giving a discount to the players who would buy-in anyway, rather than get more players into the tournament.

Moving to Brandon next month, looks like I'll be 15 minutes away from the Hard Rock.

Saw in the OP there is usually 1-3 tables of 3/6 O8 going. How are those games, juicy or nitfests?

Morning can be pretty dull and can be wild at nights

Thanks Lord Strife, can't wait to check it out! I looked at their website but it's pretty horrible for figuring out what they offer for tournaments, structures, etc.

Are they like every other casino these days (i.e. all tournaments are re-entries)?

Yes. You have 2 hours for re-entry on all their weekly/daily tournaments.

Use the Bravo Live ap for smartphones... It will make everything a lot clearer including promos and tourneys

I'll play the 3/6 when the 6/12 or PLO isn't running, it is not a nitfest - people tend to gamble with marginal holdings, but expect people to suckout because they aren't folding their 8 high FD for 6 bucks! The best time to play this game is when the 6/12 is running because the 6/12 guys will play 3/6 and they are competent for the most part.

Why would I want competent players in an O8 game? I want a full table with over five players seeing a flop so it's profitable. Let them chase 8-high FD, that's frigging FANTASTIC!

I don't know that's what he meant. He must've screwed up part of his post because

makes no sense whatsoever.

Sure it does, though it is certainly unclear given his wording. He means that the best time to play 3/6 is when the 6/12 game is running because all of the competent players play 6/12 making the 3/6 game easier.

he worded it a little confusing but clearly he's saying the when the 6/12 game isn't running, the 6/12 "competent" players drop down to the 3/6 game. so it's better to play the 3/6 game when the 6/12 "competent" players are back at their usual 6/12 game.

Ah, the OP just mentioned a 3/6 game. Alright, so there's a 6/12 game with only a handful of competent players, sounds good to me. Any other limits regularly spread for O8 or any mixed games.

I'm good for Stud Hi/Lo, Omaha Hi/Lo, Razz, Badugi and 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball up through 20/40 limit.

Nope, I'd be down to play limit games but they never go off. Florida is NLHE country. Gotta go out west to Cali to get a decent spread of limit games.

the other day we actually got to play $1-2 PLO8 a little while and i did okay, but shouldve left once 3 players quit when it got to be 5 handed after a few hours. in the last 30 minutes, i lost back my $80 profit and left $90 down. im horrible at HU.

can we get this game going again with more people? there were a lot of 5-5 players in it. not sure why it was $1-2 but if it had been any higher i wouldnt been able to sit in it.

still got another $100 gas card i need to get rid of. not that many buyers considering how easy they are to get free. this is the 2nd one ive earned so far.

EVERYWHERE is NLHE country. Well, at least the O8 games get rolling, even if there isn't more mixed game action available, I'll take it.

I'd love to get a 1/2/5 PLO8 game going. Count me in.

1/2/5 plo8 sounds sweet. There was one going on over at Derby fairly often late last year but it fizzled out. I'll start lists when I go. Maybe we can get some people hooked.
