There's usually at least six 2/5 games going; Often more even during the summer. Even at 3 a.m. there's at least four 2/5 games.

There's also 1/3 with a 100-200 min/max game, but there's always far fewer tables of that than either 1/2 or 2/5.

The 1/3nl is $100-$300.

1/3 is 100-300. I stand corrected. (I always play 2/5)

btw, get a club card and you get $1 per hour comp towards food or merchandise for 2/5 and higher. $.60 per hour for smaller limits.

Also, the progressive jackpot is quad 10's or better beat with both cards playing. There's also a fixed $10,000 jackpot for smaller quads beat.

As mentioned, sign up for a Players Club card. Your comps for the casino games and poker are tracked independently. You will get (unless things have recently changed) a $5 balance on your card with sign-up. You can swipe that at the retail shop or restaurants at any time. Your poker balance will start at $0 and cannot be swiped. You will need to obtain a voucher from a poker room manager to use. You can check your poker room balance at a kiosk at the edge of the poker room.

As for the Orlando traffic, a number of players come from Orlando to play. You might end up playing at Daytona Beach as well.

Traffic on i4 isn't going to be the best at 6 pm.. I'd wait till around 7 to leave Orlando or your gong to run into bumper to bumper rush hour traffic.

Thanks ghost, pokerpoly, parisron, mrk31, and trent for your responses. I look forward to it. I'll probably be up there nightly around 8:00pm. Google says it's about 60 miles so I imagine since it's all highway I can get there in an hour.

Off topic - anyone know anything fun (nightlife) to do in the disneyworld area?

Thanks again!

Thx, Travis. I took a look at a room just in case I have a long session and it's sold out every night next week!?!? Is there something going on there next week or is this the norm?

Hard Rock doesn't have many rooms and they charge too much anyway.
There's a Holiday Inn Express and a La Quinta Inn accross from the Fairgrounds on 301 that are reasonably priced. About a 2 minute drive.

Played it last Satuday... Had 91 runners. Final table chopped 9 handed at 430. Blinds were I believe 5/10k. Chip leader got 1800 and the rest 1000. With the blinds that aggressive I'd say the tournament should wrap by 6-7pm. There were two big stacks and the rest of the table had about 3-6 bbs.

When I commented he said "Yeah, they're large, x-large and xx-large, so that's small, medium and large." Just a bit confusing for him to categorize them that way.
Anyway, I thought I'd give a heads-up.
Thanks I lost 90+ the last year am 5'10''/180 now but that use to be large as I remember it, it's amazing they call that small now. I wonder what the Europeans would think of that

It didn't chop right away, lated about an hour before it seemed reasonable to chop. Don't know why last week was so many fewer than usual. But it's a great tournament and I should be there next week.

For those of you who have played at both, how does this poker room compare to the Hard Rock in Hollywood?

HHR is run by people that know poker, THR is run by people that have never played. Everything except the softness can be summed up with that. As for the softness, its Florida, if for some odd reason you wind up at a half way difficult table, just switch, theres always an easy one around the corner.

1. The kiosk by thr poker room enterance seems to be offline. Does anyone know of a different place to check how many hours you've accrued?

2. Does anyone want to chip in and pay some kid $7/hr to stand at the restroom enterance and point out all the non-hand-washers?

Yes, but he also has to keep an eye out for players who have been there for more than 14 hours and tell them to go home and shower for the sake of everyone else.

...I always get seated next to the person that smells like a farm animal. Lol!

1. I was wondering the same thing. I think you can go up to the main desk and ask someone to check your account manually if you'd like.

2. God, Yes please! It's so disgusting how many people just turn around from the urinal and walk right out of the bathroom and back to their table.
