If the good/ bad dealer ratio was 90/10, that would be an extremely good ratio and well run poker room. Its not even CLOSE to that. Its more like 60/40, which is unacceptable. And for me, the technical aspect is whatever. Even for a guy like asian O who deals like 6 hands an hour...if you control the game and keep the douchebaggery to a min, good job. WHen you make the game unenjoyable for the recreational players, its bad for everyone.

They dont care though. That hate their job and their life especially. They believe they are entitled to a % of all our hard won pots. Im sorry I even brought it up because it was in vain.

For the other 60%, thank you for a job well done. Not to be totally negative so in defense, there are some really fantastic dealers and people working in that room...there is just WAAAAAYY too many toxic ****sticks.

Oh, and LMAO at the dealers teaming up and physically going after someone who binks the BBJ and stiffs them. Lmfao!
I rarely have any problems like you describe with the dealers. Maybe try not being a dick to them.

My biggest problem or pet peave are the dealers that say nice hand when pushing a pot or someone busts someone and the guy leaves and the dealer gives his take on the hand like oh wow I wouldnt have played it that way or other dealers like long haired "k " who just wastes so much fin time in the box

My biggest pet peeve is just when dealers don't want to 'rock the boat' so they just let players do whatever they want as to not infringe. So often, players say things at the table that could easily affect action and dealers rarely say anything or tell the players to keep quiet. Players constantly tell others what they folded, or have drastic reactions when it flops QQJ and look the guy on their left and say "guess what i **** folded' Its absurd and its a dealers job to run the game - that's what they're supposed to be getting paid for. It happens so often actually that it almost seems acceptable at THR. When playing $2-$5 pots can easily surpass $1k and it drives me crazy that so often the rules are not enforced and no one cares.

I'll be happy to respond to this as soon as you explain to me exactly what in the hell it's supposed to mean. Sorry, but I'm not fluent in crazy person talk.

Seriously, you should really try reading this stuff aloud to yourself before you post it. Maybe then you'd realize how nonsensical it is.

And not for nothing, but if I felt that 40 percent of the dealers in a room were bad (not to mention the wait staff that you always seem to have such a problem with), I would never consider going back there. I'm sure the other card rooms in the area would love to have you frequenting not only their establishments, but especially their 2+2 threads.

Pollyanna: An excessively cheerful or optimistic person.
Invertabrae: An animal lacking a backbone.

I think Wicked is calling you a spineless, apologetic wuss. But that's just how I interpreted it.

Yes, I'm familiar with the Pollyanna term. And I assume by "invertabrae" he means invertebrate. That said, I've certainly never heard of a "Pollyanna invertebrate". Just trying to piece together what it has to do with the post in which I apologized to a newcomer for him being a prick. As usual.

And the holocaust comment: classy. Very classy. Speaks volumes, really.

So anyway... is it just me, or have the few PLO games per week that we used to get going completely died off? I'm there almost every day and I haven't seen a game in awhile. Haven't even seen a list in awhile, actually. Is it going at night at all? I haven't played PLO in weeks, and it would be nice for a change of pace. (Yes, even if it's for three hours before the table breaks!)

And no, I have no interest in the zoo game at Lucky's.

Someone (or multiple someones) jacked up some guy at derby for stiffing a dealer on a smaller bonus than a bbj. Maybe it was overzealous players though idk. Maybe it's a reach but I just assume anything that happens at derby can happen at HR and worse. Also there are some dealers at HR with some shady backgrounds if they are to be believed. I know we are not supposed to name names here but I do believe if you stiffed a dealer on the bbj there would be some kind of repercussions.

Call me an invertebrate but most of the dealers there I would tip even though I really don't want to just because of social judgement. But there are some I wouldn't tip even if stiffing them guaranteed me a beat down and a chorus of hissing and boos every time I walked into a casino.

How many times has a dealer at your table pointed out a specific person at another table for their tipping behavior? "Yeah she hit for 200K and only gave 1000 tip" then the buffoons at the table will be like "oh man what a scum ball I would have tipped 10%". At that point I usually chime in with "that's all I would give" and it is.

Anyway the other card rooms in the area have excellent dealers. When I am card dead I imagine winning the bbj. I also imagine taking the tip over to derby or silks and giving it to a dealer there.

I'd have to tip something on a BBJ to even the worst dealer, but that's just me. A friend of a friend of mine hit one for $88k (his share) and tipped $1500. That's probably around what I would do. Maybe $2k if it was my favorite dealer, but I'm sure I wouldn't go above that. Of course, now it's over $220k, so I promise $2k to any dealer that ships it to me today.

My take on Derby's dealers: they definitely have a smaller percentage of bad ones than THR (nearly all of them seem good, actually), but some of them are WAY too talkative. It's great to have personality and make small talk between hands-- that I don't mind at all-- but some of them never shut up during hands, which is horrible. And on several occasions they've talked about strategy and proper play regarding a hand just after it's ended, with all parties involved still at the table, which is just unbelievable.

As a whole, they do have a pretty solid crew. But God, those few just need to shut up and deal.

Yeah I think with HR it's like the bad ones are really bad. It's ok though. I think there is some competition down the road and when that happens people will remember HR and their shenanigans and play elsewhere.

I heard they declined to give Micheal Jordan a marker a few years back. That is the scale of the squeeze master's that run the place. Charles Barkley stiffs a few casino's so now Micheal Jordan's credit is no good lol. When florida gets gaming resorts people will remember HR as just a pit that sucked money out of TB and never wanted to give anything back. Hell I can't remember the exact percentages but I found out that of all the bbj money collected only a portion actually goes into the pool. The rest goes toward "promotion". And then you want a tip?

60% of the $1 jackpot drops goes to promotions yes, but sometimes (rarely) they have decent promos like gas cards where you can collect $600 for the month guaranteed.

That was probably a VERY wise descion by the HR. Everyone thinks, oh he was good at throwing a ball threw a ring, hes an awesome guy! Jordan is a notorious degenerate gambler and has ****ed countless people when it comes to $$. Jordan is a man without honor. Even when he does pay back his markers (when he feels like it) he takes forever to do it. Well played Seminoles.

Also, ive heard at least 3+ dealers say that 10% of the Jackpot is what one should tip. Seriously....

Yo, check my join date.

And I think you'll find that almost everyone with "high" post counts posts from their job.

As for what you've said, I'm not saying it's nonexistent, just that you're vastly overstating things.
