Thanks,

In the 550. 267 rnners first pays 39k. Big milestone for me, first time making it to the first break in a deep stack. Unchartered territory now!

Your going to have to wait till Tuesday or Thursday for the $480 MTT satellite, but you'll be able to play the $55 and $160 satellites till then.

There is a step series of STTs. $55 gets you a ticket to $160, $160 gets you a ticket to $480, $480 gets you into main. Can use tickets on any WPT tourney. They run all the time though the $480s are sparse. You can also just collect multiple $480 tickets to buy into the main with.

288 players for the $550 today if I remember correctly. Was a great structure.
Pays 27 spots.

I have a strategy post here, please comment.

I'll prob be by in an hour for some cash and then maybe tonight's tourney.

In a sick beat I woke up violently ill yesterday and couldn't even make it out of my bedroom/bathroom all day. I had used all my comps + a $160 voucher to enter into the $550 tourney Thursday night. So I'm basically $hit out of luck for that $550 right?

I was so ill I couldn't even fathom trying to call the hard rock to sort it out yesterday. I was pretty excited for the tourney too - ridiculous 24 hour bug - felt a little better last night, and feel completely normal again today. Haven't drank in a month but felt like I was more hungover than ever before - may have been food poisoning. Unfortunate day for it to happen, $550 - or possibly $40k illness

Yea, once tournament starts you are locked in. I had food poisening last year while in vegas. Spent 48 hours in my room at rio only going to gift shop to buy over priced liquids and crackers.

I'm planning on making a marketplace shares thread for the Tampa $2250 main selling 50% for day 1B (Saturday). Most 2/5 regs probably know me (Derek) and I'm good friends with peoplemover irl. I had 2 fts in venetians last year in a $1600 and $2k. If there's interest I'll make the thread. Feel free to pm

There were 178 players Sunday night in the $200 Turbo and it lasted until 2:30 in the morning. Seeing how the late the turbo ran I don't think I'l be playing in any of the other 7pm tourneys - just too late for me.

In this country it is illegal to deny them entry based on their gender. You know that right?

There are a million things that aren't illegal, but are still wrong. I say leave the ladies alone. Let 'em have their tourneys to themselves.

We need more women playing poker. Crashing their tourneys-- especially when it's obvious to the players that one's reason for doing so is not to make some kind of political statement on reverse gender discrimination, but simply to take advantage of the (generally) lower skill level of the field-- is certainly not the way to get more women into poker.

And who wants to be that guy anyway?

And by the way, it absolutely should not be illegal for any private business to deny anyone anything for any reason they choose. It's ridiculous that a casino is not allowed to prevent men from playing ladies' tourneys. Their property, their rules. If you don't like it, go somewhere else. But of course, we allow our government to dictate every damn thing to all of us in every aspect of life, so yeah, it is illegal.

Ugh, don't get me going on this. I'd rather talk about a hundred stupid "I want to see that hand" stories than go off on this tangent. OK... I'm refocused. So... how 'bout that sweet mug and hoodie comin' up, eh?

this is a question for machi and Ron as I presume poker is your profession. I've been playing now about 5 years 3 serious. I know I have a knack for the game I'm a good hand reader I don't tilt and spew away money. Problem is I've never had cash flow to really play what I want. I got a ****ty 9-5 because when I was 18 I was stupid and got a felony. I used to play online mtts nonstop pretty good results for my avg buy in being under 10$ I had only played cash games live but this last year I've switched to live mtts I've played a total of 5 tourneys at THR with 3 of them being freerolls I chopped one of them min cashed another and also chopped the 110$ also won like 12 tourneys at luckys and silks but I don't count luckys because it's usually a two table sng. Oh man am I rambling on... In essence I really would like to know how u guys started. Or if u got staked what were the deals and how did u go about getting one.

Yeah, I looked up the Hoyt Corkin Sunglasses on Ebay to see what they are going for, and it looks like....they're not? So nobody even knows what "blue shark" is. Prolly no "Hoyt Corkins" either, lol. Cost $149 new on their site, so I thought I'd at least get 100 for them, but maybe not. I don't need the clothes either, and nobody's buying those. So basically an $800 (beats and ipad ebay price) SUMMER LONG promotion. I'm glad it's a loyalty based one, but I wish it were a bit better. 320 hours Sun-thurs. is nuts. I might just settle for "accidentally" getting the beats and leave the ipad on the table, who knows.

Need suggestions on hotels. I am going to be around this weekend and am looking for something relatively close that isn't a ****hole. I realize this question is probably asked a lot so feel free to PM me if you don't feel like cluttering the thread.

re: Blue Shark shades: I'm sure they're decent sunglasses. I just hope they're good for normal outdoor use, as I won't be wearing sunglasses at a poker table anytime in this life since I'm not a coward.

re: Garbage Pail Kids: Definitely not something I ever got into, but I respect you both for having the courage to own up. My confession: I like Michael Bolton. Go ahead and do your worst; I've been getting abused about this for years. I don't care. He's awesome.
