Last time they did the Ipad thing, I got an Apple gift card. I actually liked this better, as it gives you the option of picking the Ipad version you want, and paying just the difference. Or if you already have one, then getting other Apple stuff instead. On the Ipod promo though, they gave out an actual Ipod.

I think it's 80 degrees in the poker room - busted out of the tourney and just left tonight - way too hot to sit in that room and play cards.

Just about anyone who can read could pick up the phone book and find numerous 24 hr. AC repair services that would come out and get that think cranked up fast. Why worry about this though, it's nice and cozy when it's 80 in the room on one of the busier holidays of the year...they even have their own in house maintenance and they still cant' get it done. Plus how hard is it to fix or replace the kiosk up front where you check your hours and points? Thing has been down nearly 3 weeks and the "system" was down today so you couldn't even have them check hrs at the brush stand, must be the THR IT team is taking its summer vacation right now.

Another interesting thing I heard tonight, a dealer who IMO is above average told me that a few nights ago a player stood up from the table as a dealer was about to deal a hand and said he wanted leave to use the restroom but that the dealer should deal him in while he was away from the table (presumably so as not to "miss" the BBJ, LOL). The dealer told the player that he couldn't deal him in and the player then asked for a supervisor. Two supers came over and after talking to the player they both told the dealer to deal him in while he was headed to the RR and away from the table!!!

They need to bring in the Dunder-Mifflin management team, it would be an upgrade...

The air seemed to be cranking pretty decent when I left at 11pm.

Good thing someone there called one of the many a/c repair companies listed in the phone book that routinely handle issues with those 10 million BTU a/c units that they no doubt see every day.

Yes there are few commercial ac repair shops in the area that regularly handle repairs to large HVAC systems and they sure don't advertise in the yellow pages. There is clearly little need for this type of service in TB as there are few large venues/buildings in west cental FL that have aging systmes that require repairs and maintenance on a regular basis, it's a dying business.

Amusing story from the tourney on Tuesday. I raise to 400 with Kd8d at 50-100 and a woman behind me 3 bets to 1K. I call. Flop comes Qd9d6s - I check - she bets 2500, and I shove 10K. Woman tanks for ever and calls with 77. I exclaim, wow nice I'm actually ahead - her response "You're ahead? I caught you bluffing you don't even have a pair." And of course I brick my bagillion outs and she wins a 200bb pot along with my bounty. lol.

Lol, this I know. It was 80 degrees and I was actually pretty happy to get it in and flip early on as opposed to waiting and sweating for the next 3 hours only to bubble a 25 person sit n go.

And I am never missing the chance to play a pot with someone as bad as this woman - so I'm not sure if you are insinuating that you fold for 600 extra chips to her 3 bet when her range includes 77 (which she won't fold regardless of flop)?

Also, I like to be super active at 25-50 and 50-100 opening a ton of pots - basically the whole table thinks you're a maniac for the next coupe of hours no matter how tight you play. Some people play super tight at the start which is probably better for people with less hand reading ability and pure talent
