Think it is smart what they are doing. Have decreased the chance of failure on their first attempt at a series of tournaments. By limiting the games to NLHE with one limit tournament thrown in, they have a shot at running a smooth event.
No need to have any fear that dealers don't know the game they are dealing. Avoids a lot of headaches.
Believe that the next ones will have more variety. At this point, the slow and steady course of this room is helping to move it up the poker room chain in the Northeast. Nothing flashy, but steady as it goes. From the beginning PARX has avoided some of the pitfalls in order to establish a long lasting business.
BTW an ever increasing amount of mixed games, PLO, O8, OE, HOE are being played more often and not just on the board as Interest games.
