Any possibility of getting those potholes repaired?
No point in driving to Bensalem just to blow a couple of tires in the parking lot.

41 games running right now! I'm going to try to get out there tomorrow afternoon. I said that last week but it never happened...I'm serious this time.

Hi Jim,

Fortunately I am not the only one that monitors this site, and the person responsible for this is already acting on it. Thank you for the feedback.

2nd this! If we'll get this game going like on semi-constant basis, this will be great for a room. gg today btw

and another one - may be you can put it on corner table there and put barrier around it. I don't mind railbirds but

a) Some do
b) If you will try to present this game of some kind of elite society everybody wins.

I 3rd this, when we got 30-60 LHE last Saturday, we had 2 different dealers who were doing what is written in the quote, as well as watching the FB game more then the players were!! Especially our TIME GAMES, we really need the best dealers for many reasons, if this is possible!!.. I don't wana hurt the poorer dealers financially, but they are hurting me& others financially by being beginner/incompetent dealers..Many plyrs agree with me, and you know i'm playing at PARX 80% of the time now(also advertising for you by WORD of MOUTH)..but sometimes it really is a problem with the 15 LHE game also.

THX, i know your doing everything u can to accommodate every1, but it doesn't really hurt the beginner dealers financially, by keeping them in the small NLH/LHE games.

Re: PARX Poker Thread

I will be there (tomorrow) Saturday night, hopefully a 30-60games breaks out again!!!...I ran so bad Last Friday or Saturday, whenever that 30game went...LOL...Iv been waiting 2months to get it going and of course i go CARD DEAD for 4 hours, LOL.. I didn't even lose that much, but a big problem, like I just said, was 2 dealers were not even paying attention to the game.!. They were watching Football???

jayski, you must not have seen my post re punishing the better dealers by making them deal the higher-limit games, so I quoted it for you below.

Competent dealers should have a chance to deal every game running and incompetent dealers should be retrained or fired and replaced with any one of the many qualified candidates out there who would be elated to get the opportunity to deal @ Parx.

And you spoke with a supervisor away from the table about the dealer you mentioned so that corrective action could be taken, right?
I'm still waiting to hear from phaedrus about his discussion with Ari or another supervisor about the less-than-adequate dealer(s) he encountered.

In my experience Parx has mostly good dealers, a few excellent dealers and a few really bad dealers. The solution isn't to mess with the rotation, its to mentor the bad dealers on how to get better, or if they can't get better, fire them. There are too many good to great dealers from AC looking for work right now.

One huge positive I've seen at Parx dealer wise is that every week I see more and more top dealers from AC making the switch. I've also noticed that a few of the really bad dealers are gone, and some of the below average ones have worked on their craft and gotten better. The most important thing with a poker dealer imo is that they genuinely care about their craft and want to be the best at what they do. Thats true of just about any profession of course, but especially so with poker dealers.

Most importantly and the thing I've always said sets Parx apart from most rooms is that the management cares about what the players think, and they're always open to hear what we have to say. If there is something that a specific dealer needs to change, like not paying attention or not running the game properly, ect, then the best thing we can do as players to tell the shift supervisor (away from the table and one on one of course) what we've seen and what we think needs to be corrected. Constructive criticism and proper instruction from their supervisors is the only thing that will help a below average dealer improve.

Trust me, there is a certain Albanian at 10/25 that takes care of the dealers with greenbirds.

This would be an exception, not the rule.

But we are not really talking about higher NL games. Most NL players are going to take care of dealers, and usually not as much drama there.

We are talking about the purgatory of any high limit, high stud games that a Dealer might get trapped in, gets bitter bitter vitriolic from the grinders (seen an experienced dealer get RUN from a table before), and lucky to make $5 on a down...

Ari -

Do you allow players to run it multiple times at 10/20NL+?

Re: PARX Poker Thread

Lol @ the idea of "rewarding" the best dealers by making them deal more high-limit games.

Those games are, as a rule, the worst paying and nastiest games to deal in any house. BY FAR.

Maybe Parx is different, of course, but it will take more than one good-tipping Albanian to convince me otherwise

Re: PARX Poker Thread

Anyone know the details of the hand that played out on a 2/5 table yesterday around 5:00pm? The table was over in front of the cage. A crowd was gathered and it sounded like someone hit big on the river for a huge pot. People were going nuts, lol.

Re: PARX Poker Thread

Ari i heard a few rules the other day that i think could be bad. one was that if some1 acts out of turn it does not count. this opens up so many ways to angleshoot. another is if you miss jsut the small blind you can come in on the button. the 2nd one is not that bad but y allow that but not if you miss big blind. wouldn't both be concidered buyin the button.
I would also like to say the whole staff and workers are doing great jobs. keep up the good work. the parx poker room has tyhe potential to be the best on the east coast and heading in the right direction. i cant wait until there is a hotel, entertainment, and more restaurants.
would just like to complain about the alcohol not being free.

actually I didn't notice that when I went...they let u come in just behind the button...(cutoff). If it's true that they let u come in on the button that is bad...maybe it was a dealer error?

also I would be for being allowed to buy the button if you miss blinds

I think it's pretty bad. I'll skip my small blind each round and just post the button then

This is our rule, but the small is dead, so I am not sure why a player would want to pay an extra small blind every round. -EV
