Flop is AT2, and MP takes down the pot with a bet.

The tournament then goes on break. Once the tourney resumes, a new dealer asks for my BB. I claim that I was the BB last hand, and that the button was not moved. Floor was called, and they told me that they are unable to check the tape or do anything about it. I had to put 10% of my stack as the BB.

I got eliminated in 15th place
Next time before break if you were BB the last hand ask the dealer to put the button right with the players chips (the next person to be the button that is) which is exacty what I do and seems to work.

No one seemed to remember what had happened the last hand. The dealer from the last hand said that she had moved the button. So it was me vs the dealer. And obviously, the floor decides to only listen to the dealer.

Had a great trip to the 'Woods on Monday! When I arrived (around 6pm) there were twelve $2/$5 tables! I got in line for chips and saw that the table right at the end there had James Woods playing - and there was a seat open! I thought to myself "I should get out of line and take that seat" but didn't, and by the time I got chips someone else had grabbed it. D'oh! So instead I wandered around and found a $2/$5 table by the Christmas Tree area that looked juicy and took my seat. I really love it when the Woods is busy enough that there is open seating for $2/$5... I hate the way they do the must moves and all that.

Anyways, it was a good table.... I only played that table for about an hour and a half, but walked away a large winner thanks to 2 big pots. Other then those hands I mostly just folded. I was just trying to avoid plaing with the competent players and play with the incompetent ones. The only reason I left was because when a fill came around 7:20, I wandered upstairs (since they take so damn long) and decided to enter the 6pm $160 tournament when I saw that it had 180+ entrants. I was entrant #187, the last one. When I took my seat (around 7:45), I still had $13,000 in my stack.

I enjoyed the tournament quite a bit! Tournaments are really fun, much less stressful than cash games. By the 4th break I was low on figured I'd be gone in one hand after the break, but I won that had and they had this unreal tear that lasted until the 5th break. By that time I had quadruple average chips, and double what the average chip stack would be in the money. I made the money (20 places) as well as the final table. But by then my luck had changed, and I couldn't get a hand. Went out in 9th place good for $716 at 1am.

All in all a terrific day at the 'Woods. Can't wait to return on Sunday!!

How busy do you expect 1st to be vs. 2nd (also a holiday, but Monday)?

When should I arrive if I don't want to wait too long (less than an hour)?

Thanks!!

The annoying thing is, the player shouldn't have to.

I had a dealer yesterday who said a player made checking motion (I had 2 pair on a flush board with a straight possibility and really wanted to peel) and the rest of the table had checked behind (and all said I thought he checked). The player in question then says he never acted. Floor comes over and the dealer then says he never saw any action from the player in question. Him changing his story is what aggravated me the most. Of course floor sides with dealer, but I really do understand that. Just pay attention dealers! I know we don't have to worry about you Fishfry.

The guy who had to pay his small blind twice couldn't remember less than 15 minutes ago (the last hand before break no less) that he limped in the small blind? Good lord, tourney players are stupid but this is a new low. What did you say to him (the small blind)? Did he just sit there like a brain dead fool?

I say put all the dealers on SPEED! More hands for players, more money faster for winning players and of course more money for all dealers :P

I'm definitely going Sunday and HOPEFULLY Monday as well. Thinking about crashing Sunday night actually if I can find a cheap hotel.

Any ever played this Sunday 6pm "Super Bounty" Tournament before? From the structure, it looks like its $100/$30 with $100 bounties! Yikes! I wonder how many entrants it will get...

Hey I'm from CT and turn 21 in January. I played online pretty seriously for like a year until Black Friday so I am definitely planning on heading up to Foxwoods a lot. Plan on starting with 1/2. I assume there is always a lot of games going especially at low stakes like 1/2. Also, what are the games like, soft I assume at low levels?

Foxwoods - The place where dealers go to work in drag.

I know it's early but I noticed the Foxwoods Poker Classic is coming in the next 3 months. Is it worth playing in any of the events plus the stay in Two Trees or Great Cedar?

Does anyone know why Foxwoods has a 150bb buyin at 1/2 (pretty standard) and a 200bb buyin at 5/10 (pretty standard) but only 100bb at 2/5? I like the vibe of the 2/5 game at Foxwoods much better than the one at Mohegan, but the 100bb is pretty limiting whereas the Sun allows 160bb ($800 max) and you can make more moves in that game as a result.

There has been discussions about this before. The reason it's capped at 500 is to benefit the health of the 5/10 game. You will see that there is almost always at least one 5/10 at Foxwoods where there is almost never one running at Mohegan.
Some players had asked for the cap to be raised, but I don't think it ever will be.

Hmmm... I never knew this and never liked the cap at 2/5 but now that I understand the reasoning it makes perfect sense.

busy, not mobbed. Id say slightly slower than a normal Saturday. I would guess Monday will be slower as people gear up for the work week.

I don't think we took into account how much pro football affects attendance in the room. Pats and Jets at 1:00, tapered attendance for the whole day.

heard about an interesting hand at 2/5.

- late position raise preflop
- button and ~2-3 limpers call
- checked to preflop raiser who bets
- button goes all in
- limpers fold, original preflop raiser calls
- button says "oh didn't realize I have three cards"

button had two pair, counting the best two cards in his hand. His hand was declared dead.

No. His hand was dead from that point, so the only person left in the hand took the pot.
