how is this money laundering? and how is it even supposed to be effective?

i could see if they were buying up winning vouchers or something but if i put in a $100 bill of drug money then cash out $100 slot voucher i still have no way of proving where i got the money and that it was legit if it came down to it...if you win there are taxes to pay and forms to fill out so now there's a trail but the method described above doesn't make sense

If Breaking Bad taught me anything, then the easiest way to make money clean is to start a business.

I agree with you prolific. This has to be the worst idea to launder money I've ever heard of and apparently it raised redflags from Foxwoods too.

Could have been a way to wash traceable bills. Casinos have seen every trick on the book and are always eager to cooperate with law enforcement.

This wasn't only a bad place to launder money but it was the worst game to do it in. Bills get changed all the time at the poker table without a paper trail of receipts.

Another regular foxwoods omaha player making the money in an omaha event in NJ

Dave P still alive with 5 to go.

A few things come to mind. Have the dealers and other 4 players at the final table requested ear plugs?

If he wins will we ever hear the end of it?

Will the trophy be taller than he is?

gl Dave

My theory is they were trying to either put the fake money in and cash the tickets out for real money, or to just transfer traceable money into new untraceable money. I would think the slot machines would be the worst place to do this, at least at the tables sometimes the dealers put the money face down, therefore serial number down. I'm thinking the machine basically scans the darn bill and anyone trying this is just screwed! Be bold and in disguise if you want to wash the bills via a casino would be my advice for anyone crazy enough to try it! Do it at a table game!

Does foxwoods offer comp rooms similar to AC? And if so, how many days a week? And how hours does one usually have to log in about and is 1/2NL fine? Comps are $1/hr I presume?

Foxwoods does offer rooms like AC but it is much harder to get them. 1/2 alone probably won't do it unless your lucky. $1.5/hr comps.

Anybody play the $60 NL Turbo 1pm on Fridays that knows what kind of turnout I can expect?

Better off playing the 2pm down the road on Friday.

Thanks for the input, I'd rather play that, but my bankroll can't handle a $200 BI yet.

Read the FAQ on page 1 of this thread. Should cover most of your questions, if you still have anything left unanswered ask away and I'm sure someone here can help you.

You get points for every hour you play. 1.5 points per hour at 1/2NL......more the higher limits you play. Points can be used to buy stuff w/in the Casino/Resort and/or you can cash them out at a rate of 50%. (ie...if you rack up 10 points you can get $5 cash). The Casino also gives you some free points throughout the month, that you can use to buy stuff.......I usually use them for dinner. Keep an eye out in your snail mail and you will probably start getting some offers soon. You can also hit foxwoods.com and see your offers and point totals

In the two-day tournaments for the Megastack challenge, anyone know what time they stop playing for the day? I'm looking specifically at Monday 2/6, 11:00 AM $260+$40, $125K guarantee tournament.

Thanks.

fun story.

Dude to my left cut his finger somehow and went to ask floor lady for a band aid. When I say cut it was like a tiny little thing not a gash or anything like that. The floor lady called 911. The emt came over with oxygen and wheel chair as well as some cops. The cops questioned him about the cut, then some fw big wigs also asked about his injury and made him declare that he was in fact injured on the premises. He was taken into a back room for a bit then finally allowed to play again. The emt couldn't administer the band aid unless he was in a back room and had gloves on.

They really do go a bit overboard with stuff like this in the litigation age. I was alone at a craps table once recently and cut my hand a bit reaching into my pocket. I asked for a band-aid and all of a sudden it was as if I had dumped a pound of antrax on the table. The cleaned the table, the chips, and the dice with some powerful disinfectant, all the while I was just standing back amazed. They did give me a band-aid and didn't call EMTs, but the table was closed for what had to be about to 45 minutes. I can't imagine what it would've been like if it had been a full table.
