2/5 plo is a great game, people go broke quick but it can be sustainable
i used to play in pittsburgh a lot and the 5/10nl only ran occasionally on the weekends, but there was a 2/5 PLO that went every night. it's definitely possible to make it a consistent game if you have 4-5 regs that start it up around the same time on certain days

I've played 3 handed 2/5 PLO and it never grows but then it goes only when I am not there. Very frustrating.

I think prizminferno is referring to people's bankrolls going bust and not going bust at the table. PLO doesn't have a large pool of players and their roll will go belly up with a bad run of cards in no time thus making it a hard game to sustain.

I'd like to see them run a regular 1/3 PLO high game. I haven't played PLO at foxwoods since everytime I've tried it's been PL8, which I detest.

Does foxwood count the SB as a completion like they do at the Aria in LV so that UTG can pot for 12?

A low level 1/3 PLO game lets people get experiencefeel more comfortable moving up to 2/5. At 1/3 people that play 2/5 NLHE won't feel underrolled.

Forget those old nits at the H/L game and come play PLO High.
No open shirts and gold chains allowed
I think the best options for plo or plo8 would be a 1-2-5, $5 bring in, no limpers, or deeper buy in ranges. 1-2 should be 100 min big blind, so a $200-$600. That would bring in the 2-5 nlhe players especially to plo8 games, which typically start will mostly short stacks.

I don't think the room would be open to either, since it would take work to have the board show list of interest for those games considering they don't even bother until lately to know there is a difference between plo and plo8. I would have thought having a list for deep stack 1-2 nlhe would be a natural, but that hasn't happened either.

by the way what is H/A?

H/A = half NLHE, half PLO. I don't know how 'A' came to represent PLO

lol, maybe the floor came up with it! or the guy who came up with the comp system

Well it's the fairly universal acronym for that particular mix game. Certainly not a Foxwoods creation.

yes "HA" is the universal acronym for Holdem/PLO High, and I can't believe I'm still not seeing this game spread regularly at the woods or borgata

Glad to hear that FW dealers will start keeping their own tokes. I think that's great news for the FW players.

My guess is that HORSE was played before HA, so the O in HORSE came to be associated with Omaha Hi-Lo 8-or-better before it could become associated with PLO.

Lets get 1-2 PLO HIGH game going Saturday afternoon/early evening. And show those nits at the H/L game who's boss

(As far as 1-3, HA, changing buyins, bets, etc. You first have to get the house to approve such game before they'll spread it)

Yea I think that was running last night too.

The 1-2 PLO high table was interesting last night. Sat down at the table and the game was stopped due to marked cards. Also, the dealer was ready to kill a very large, unpleasant, overweight man.

They pulled more marked cards about an hour later. Mostly K's and Q's. Someone was pressing down on the cards with a fingernail, at least that is what was assumed. Based on the cards marked it doesn't seem like it was an accident.

Pretty fun table all in all. Nice meeting Xpiredcoupon & GOTF (Game of the Future). Still not sure if I misplayed my last hand of the night.... couldn't get away from a wrap on the flop.

Good luck at the tables today!

Since when did FW Security start getting nitty on people sleeping in the casino? I always saw plenty of older degens sleeping at the food court on weeknights without being disturbed, but tried to take a nap near the bus lobby last Sunday morning and security cleared everyone out, then went all around upstairs waking everyone up as well around 6am. Are randos sleeping at 6am really gonna drive people away from gambling? Haters gonna hate, etc.

Hi-five to those of you who keep it awesome for the dealers. A story from Friday night-

hand is 3-way on the flop... player in 2 seat checks, 4 seat checks, dumb dealer burns one and is about to turn when player in the 7 seat (button) yells that he hasn't acted yet and gets frustrated by the dumb dealers mistake. Player in 4 gets confused on whats going to happen so i let him know the burn stays and the next card will just be turned without burning another since it was never exposed and keeps everything natural. Player in 7 seat bets, all fold. I could tell he was frustrated when the turn almost came out early but this is a reg who i've dealt to quite a bit and he tipped that pot still and when I apologized he said no worries. In fact when i left the table he was the only player who said bye too.

Just wanted to high-five him up here. Its people like you who kept that job interesting and fun to do so thanks for that. that was my last night btw and last table so it was nice. good luck everyone and remember even good/great dealers make a mistake once in a while

With tips being kept by dealers starting sometime soon, will they allow the floor to accept tips as well?

I would doubt it. I'm pretty sure MS floors don't accept tips.

is this a joke? the reason it's the best is because of how wide people play? Lol a tight game is a "the best anywhere" EL o EL sir.

So have a random monday off was thinking about going to Fwoods right now but think I talked myself out of it just for sake of getting sleep so I dont get dead tired mid way through session. Anyone have experience going Monday mornings. Any good action? I understand its not goin to be booming but just wondering if its worth it or are games that much tougher for 1/2?
