5-10 Omaha is dying.

But forget Omaha go see my new movie
Will be down tomorrow for plo or o8, hope the game can start early like noonish.

To bad Kevin James isn't like Deniro, he could have added about 200 to play the role. Heard he's not the nicest guy though, so they got the casting right in that regard.

6pm turns into shove fest after 2nd break, level 9

The final table is usually a chopfest, so the shovefest happens way before than. You usually get around 2.5 hours of play before you have to tighten up. It's a good investimate for $120 when you compare it to the other tourneys like the $60/$80 turbos etc. FW should relabel the 6pm a deep stack turbo and the 8pm as an ultra turbo tho.

Any idea of how long those can run for?
The last one I played drew only 16 players and ran past 8pm which seem insanely long. I haven't played it since, but guessing 2 tables might be the norm with the 08 one drawing maybe 3-4 tables. The 11am NL really kills the field size in these 1pm Sun non NL tourneys.

I know its unlikely but any chance there is a plo game going tonight?

10/20 OE goes semi-often...sometimes its 20/40 though, and i justify playing it by thinking how both games are split pot, so its kinds like 10-20, lol...what time will you be there? throw it on the list, i'll join ya

they all suck...you have to play the megas and the holiday events that are $300 and up, usually with guarantees, but not neccessarily with...cashing in any weekly tourney doesnt make you a good card player, but cashing often does...a bad player really stands no chance in the deeper fields with more/longer levels, unless they run like an absolute luckbox like the kid who took down the $400 on memorial day...it was kinda ridiculous

First off, I didn't say it, the fat guy did.

Secondly the 5-10 full kill killed the 4-8 half kill, but the 5-10 runs nearly every day. More days than not the plo8 game will outlast the limit game, although the limit game will start before any plo gets called. It's the usual suspect that always played the 4-8 game.

and yes I am there a couple of times a week for long sessions of plo or plo8, stop by and say hello sometime.

I think competiton for the plo8 games will be the 10-20 o.e. game or variations of those mixed games at that limit or 20-40, such as hose, roe, horse etc.

Make it happen! I'd prefer 15/30 or 20/40 but 10/20 is fine by me. HOE over HO. Make a list and I'll throw myself up on it.

I just noticed the player in second at the main event is from Saugus MA, is he a Foxwoods regular? Any FW regulars remaining in the main event?

Any thoughts on the live coverage. It seems you get a lot more insight as the pro, tonight Antonio E, disects the hands as they play out, without knowing the hole cards, and then being able to see them as soon as the hand is over.

Can incorporate more PLO by making it HA. Have a 2/5 PLO NLHE mix game. Or if you want to start introducing more players to the game and spread it in the room more then run a 1/2 NLHE and PLO game (HA). High only obviously but you'll have 1/2 NLHE players trying it out more since its a mix, as well as players who do not want to wait for a general 1/2 NLHE seat.

Confirmed that I am the biggest nit in the poker room.

But to stay on topic, the room was DEAD for a Friday.

Voting started yesterday in regards to dealers keeping their own tips. It runs for one week and if they get 50% +1 it'll go into effect September 1st. According to a dealer.

Yep, really bad showing for a Friday for the poker room. Wonder why, as Riverview garage was FULL on all 5 levels when I left at 8pm.

question,

i play mostly 1-2 NL and tournaments and sometimes i dabble in 2-5NL during the midweek but im looking to expand into the limit games running around the 5-10 limits. Any suggestions in what i should try to get into? I was thinking the 5-10 holdem and 5-10 stud but was also thinking of the omaha as well.

I wish 5/10 w/ a full kill would go more often than it does, but you would be lucky to see it running. Your best bet for limit holdem would be 4/8 or 10/20. The 5/10 omaha is now a full kill game I believe too, and that runs fairly often. I'm pretty sure 5/10 stud runs just about all the time too.

On another note, did the BBJ get hit again or has the website just not been updated in weeks? It's showing $105,052 now.

5/10 hold em w/ a kill is basically done...do not play 5/10 stud...the 10/20 stud even plays too small sometimes, but the 5/10 is just awful...for hold em, play 4/8 or 10/20...just remember, the rake will beat you unless you are playing 10/20 and up-usually...give the omaha game a try too

It was at $95k last night so I am guessing that the website is correct

I am looking to come up in october and play in one of the preliminary small buy-in events at the WPT. Any recomendations, now that the schedule has been released. They are all on weekdays, at least the ones I can afford to play in, but I can take the time off without a problem.
