alright, Q on the 6pm $120 deepstack - usually how many runners on a avg Saturday? I know this week there's the $600 on Sat morning so I'm assuming there will be more runners at 6pm...

Played it for the first time last weekend, got just over 230 I believe... be prepared for a terrible blind structure and even worse players.

compared to their daily "deepstack" structures the megastack structures are so much better because of they put back in so many of the levels they omit for the dailies.

This, but lets be clear. Once it gets to near the bubble, it's a crapshoot.

They should be juicier than normal with some regs out in LV.

since when do floormen not accept tips? i wont say his name, but he's been my favorite floor guy at the woods for years and i think he earns it...i made a score in AC and figured instead of tipping the floor guys there, i'd go home and tip em where i do most of my play...he actually turned it down and there was an awkward moment...i figure around x-mas time i'll put one in a card, then he cant refuse it..

oh, and it wasnt a 10 or 20...i had a c-note in my hand and showed it to him before i shook his...amazing that he turned it down-right?

They've never been able to accept tips AFAIK.

Fair point. My guess is this particular floor likes his job and doesn't want to jeopardize it for a c-note. (not saying you're wrong in any way to offer it)

everyone else in that room is getting tipped, the quality floor guys deserve one

funny story...i was playing the other day, before the hockey playoffs had ended, and the cute blonde that works the mic at the desk says, through the mic, "sydney crosby, 1/2, sydney crosby, 1/2-oh...wait, he's on vacation!" LOVE THAT SHHH...i promptly went up there to chat her up and greased her with a ten spot

Sure they deserve tips. But think of the consequences. Floor guys make decisions about contested hands/pots. Floor guys seat players at games they want. Most would still work on the up and up. But you really want the favor of the floor men to go to the highest bidder?

saturday night is always around 200 runners (at least last couple months) but all above (plus what i've said a million times about structure is true)

mega stacks are very good structure for most of the tournament then near bubble it gets tougher in terms of this but I feel there is a decent amount of play when you get down a bit further (never final tabled) but gotten down to the last handful of tables before

i feel like almost every tourney everywhere becomes a shove fest eventually...the megas just take longer to reach that point than usual weekdays...unless you have a huge stack, your decisions are always very limited...either way though, it takes patience, thought, and maneuvering to get through all of them...thats my view

I love the megastack's effect upon our 5/10 game...not only do we get tournament donks to pick off, we also get 2/5 players wanting to pick them off, as well, to pick off. (fighting words! )

Anyone considering taking a shot over the next couple of weeks?

Not at 5/10.

Won't get down there until the holiday weekend. Hoping the room is busy. Gonna play mostly 1/2 & possibly some 2/5.

do people who make tourney scores come dump in this game? i can see if someone who plays the 600 or 1200 event comes and plays, but people playing the smaller buy in megas are usually just 1/2, maybe 2/5, or strictly tourney players if i have them pegged correctly. if they do, that IS great for your game...
