20/40 everyday.

multiple tables of 20/40 thurs-sunday

40-80 can go on weekends but doesn't always (especially in the summer when a lot of players at the series)

there are a couple dudes who like to play green chip 50/100, but it hasn't gone in awhile....

my advise go friday-sunday, play 20-40 and see if you can get a list going for 40/80. You'll have to start it short handed but it could def go.

By the Racebook. Outside the exit. It's a quick drive.

It stops outside TT's front door, runs about every 15 min.
If you have a car, you can drive to and from TT (self-park in Rainmaker garage, or in J lot). TT actually isn't all that far away, you could walk it in 15 min, if you wanted to.

More like 10 mins if you are young and can walk quickly

Does anyone have promo codes/ways to get discounts on hotel rooms down at Foxwoods (minus playing about 25/50 or attempting to shoot off money in the pits to qualify for gold/platinum card)?

I am heading down in August to play the Mega Stack series, prob weekend of 8/18-8/21.

I gotta say overall, CT casinos' nittiness is astoundingly bad.

After winning a 200-man $180 DS this week, I wanted to play the $1000 ME @ Mohegan this Saturday.

Cost of a room, in luxurious Uncasville, CT, on a Saturday night? $689 dollars.

I'll pass lol.

I park in the J lot, right outside of the poker room. They have reserved spaces for personnel and police but most of the lot is open

Stops at the back door if you are out there.

It's $199 with the room code. Look in the mohegan thread. I asked the director and he said there are still rooms available.

Yes, do not play the $80 turbo if you're serious about poker. You're better off playing slots. If you really want a MTT do the 6pm. Not the greatest format but at least its better than the turbo.

Enjoy your 21st!

my best advice to anyone turning 21, learn pot limit omaha or plo8.

It's the game of the future!

Learn them all, Razz Bagudi Stud and even Draw (I really miss Draw) and be an overall good player. Each game teaches different skills and all are worth knowing and playing. (PS I am now learning and really loving Omaha Hi Lo!!)

I agree. Structure sucks in the end stages, but if you get good early table draw, you can get chips fast to attempt a run during the 100BB+ time.

It's a luckfest, but could be good for you if you plan on playing 1/2 for a while and are well rolled.

Personally, if I get to Foxwoods after the 6pm is closed, I sign up for that, and try to dink it; but at the least the $80 MTT can help me settle in after a long ride. Then after I bust, I'll play 1/2 PLO-1/2/5 NL til 10am.

The structure is ****ty, but so is the play. I know DN said he used to play these smaller stakes tournies before he went to go play mid stakes limit poker back in the early 90s to settle into a session (and also at the time, take advantage of bad play).

It helps to know shove-bot stats for these types of things; but you need luck to win, obv.
