Yea there was a guy at one of my tables who kept bringing him up to every dealer and showing them his picture. 2+2 threads are the least of this guys worries now.

This is worrisome. 2k is a significant amount of $ and the dealer should have been doing their job not laughing at this 'ridiculous' incident. I am going to ask for chips to cross the line next time someone makes a verbal call - if borgata is not going to enforce the call.

Also I don't get the possible scams here. Player A pays the casino cash for chips and player B does the same. If player B loses and refuses to pay then Borgata can just take his chips and give to player A. What's the scam angle here? It's the casinos job to run the game according to rules.

Well like I said I played a session where a player brought it up to every new dealer. 4 out of 5 of the dealers all said it was terrible move and called the guy a POS. Only one mentioned that who ever was dealing the hand messed up and should of brought the pot in. They also seemed a tad timid to mention anything about the casino being responsible. Though most employee's aren't about to criticize your company on the clock.

I had always had this fear but luckily rarely play big enough pots where I think it'd be a concern. I'm going to be more vigilant in the future but I think players have to protect themselves and part of that is being aware of angle shooters. This may be the upper end of scummy angle shoots but it is still one you should be prepared to deal with/prevent. It sucks that the casino won't do anything to step in on these spots but that seems to be the universal ruling. Liability in this spot makes the whole issue very complicated.

Can anybody give an estimate how many runners this Saturday $400 ($100K guarantee) tourney will have?

If there are not enough runners can they cancel it?

The last 2 got 481 and 577 runners, respectively. They always meet the guarantee on the saturday series and typically surpass it by a good margin, but they would never cancel it to begin with.

I plan to go next weekend, can someone shed some light on the 10/20 NLHE game? I've been told that 10/20 is 1k min, 5k max, and that 10/25 is uncapped (although I've heard 10/25 doesn't run all the time), but I could be mistaken, just curious what average stacks are.

I've played the Borgata 5/10 before but never higher and wanted to know the details. Also are there rich idiots in the weekend games or does everyone pretty much know what they're doing?

Thanks!

I have not seen the 10/20 run in a while. Expect a few 5/10 tables and one 10/25. If you are fortunate the 10/25 will have a "rich fish" but that is not common. There was an epic deep pocketed fish coming around for a while recently , but I have not seen him for a couple weeks. Maybe he got bored , or took his show on the road.

Thanks - what is the min stack for Borgata's 10/25 and what is a standard stack size?

Average is 10k+ if a fish is at the table which is pretty often if they're not playing 25/50.

I stayed at the Borgata this past week, and valeted the car. Got home at 6pm Friday night after a 3+ hour drive and find a set of car/house keys in a clear plastic bag with a valet slip on the floorboard in the back seat. Looks like someone is ****ed/unemployed.

Called the Borgata, got put on hold for 3 minutes while the guy checks with his supervisor, and they end up wanting me to mail it to their security department. Guy didn't even want the license plate/name/valet number that was on the slip. I had to insist on him taking the info down.

This would be the absolute, worst nightmare experience while using a valet. Poor guy lives in NY (or at least his car is regged there), and he's stuck in AC with his car stranded and no house keys.

Wow, that is a pretty big screw up. Luckily for the guy whose car it is you are an honest person who quickly tried to ix the situation. Always have a separate valet key if you use valet parking imo.

yea, that's exactly why I have just a valet key and keep car and house keys in my pocket. I mean even if some valet just locks your keys in the car, I still have the remote and a key to get in. Just don't leave those in the room. Almost did that once. And I usually just use the valet key anyway, once the car is unlocked.

At least you can go home, and they can hold or mail you the "lost" key.

For the bonus comps, does anybody know when on July the day started? Is it after midnight, or was it at 6 am.

Poker Day is between 12:00AM - 11:59PM.

These promotions usually have that in the fine print, so that "July" means July, not 738 hours of July and 6 of August. But phrasing it that way muddies the fact that the normal gaming day for other purposes is 6AM–5:59AM.
