Only during the main event (and this wont happen this time) when there were thousands of people playing they closed a lot of the tables. And when there is a huge list, borgata does this excellent, they will open up new games. I remember during MLK day and the open was that day, 50 person wait list for 2/5, 5 minutes later, and 4 tables opened and the list was cleared.

Ask one of the shift managers (back area near the sit and go tables) to review your last years play

If you are pretty close they have some discretion in giving you your black card

I have been at the Water Club for 2 weeks now and the mini bar was gone, and the fridge was emptied out. I guess they are getting rid of the mini bars at the Water Club?

I hope so. Can't imagine those things brought in a lot of money anyway.

Maybe this has been asked before but I can't find it.
Are longer sessions of play given more credit towards comps, say multiple 4 hour days compared to one 8 or 10 hour session. I'm pretty sure playing higher limits would be more valuable towards comps but is 8 hours of continuous play better than two four hour sessions ?

If your question is regarding comp $, it doesn't matter if you do one 8-hr session or two 4-hr sessions. You'll still get $12 in comp dollars (playing at 1/2). There is a general consensus though that the higher your daily average is, the better room comps offers you will receive.

I'll be coming up to AC next week for a bachelor party.

The 4 of us who gamble heavily are coming early to stay in Borgata and play poker. Should be up there playing 1/2 (maybe a little 2/5 mixed in) all day on Wednesday and Thursday and up through early afternoon Friday. Mid 20s with beard, I'll try to remember to drop a "sup bro" when I sit.

Once everyone else joins the bachelor party on Friday evening we are moving to the Showboat (not my choice)- but will probably hit up one of the clubs in Borgata for bottle service. Anyone know the table/bottle rates? Seem to remember a table being like $400 at mur****r last time I was there but that was like 18 months ago. There will be 6-10 of us (some of the nits might not want to go to a club, lol).

Fri/Sat night it's like 310 per bottle and you need 1 bottle for every 3 people in your party for the minimum.

I hope this happens in every room. Right now when I make extended stays I will only book at Borgata because I bring water and other "stuff" that need refrigeration. I do prefer room at the water Club.

Yeah water clubs only drawback is the mini fridge because we bring a lot of booze down when we come.

Anyone else notice there's a sign in self park now that you can't bring coolers in?

Yeah, noticed the new sign. But, thought that was always the policy. Hoping that regular fridges come to the WC. Had many good leftovers spoil while staying there...

Most hotels I've stayed at say no coolers, but nobody cares. Last time we stayed at the Trop (several years back) we had 2 coolers on the cart and they took them in for us. Nobody said anything.

The concierge desk in the H20 Club lobby will check food for you that you want to keep cold.

Yea the fridge was emptied out at the Water Club but it was not turned on. I have stayed at hotels in Vegas where the mini bars are empty and you can order to fill it up, maybe that is what they are going to do now.

I just like to bring fresh fruits. They are hard to find while staying there.

Good action at the limit games this afternoon? 20-40 Hold'em and 10-20 Hold'em? More than 2 tables of either? Thanks.

Stayed at Harrah's over the weekend and they now have a sign posted in the garage saying no BYOB and no coolers bigger than 12x12. They actually stopped us and made us take it back to the car. Of course we brought it in later anyway, seems like a dumb policy especially when they have an empty mini fridge.

Yeah I usually just bring a huge rolling suitcase that's filled with an entire fridge worth of booze.

Can confirm the removal of mini-bars in the WC. The fridge is still the same one that they had before so you can't fit water bottles on the door.

But the fridge is off right, were you able to turn it on?

Mine was on when I got to the room. I asked the desk what happened to the mini-bars and they said they removed them and I could use the fridge.
