Please do. Would like his take. Have let a few other regs know who the third reg at the table was so they can confirm with him as well as the floor person at the time of the incident.

I'm assuming since this is 5/10 PLO on a sunday night this is a reg whose wife is a waitress...

Not really sure if t is going to respond to any of this.

If hes banned (again...) then will probably not see him for a while.

yeah, I figured it was you that **** his name, but I thought doing that was, well, kinda comical! C'mon, it's not like his "identity" is being spared itt:

"he wears a Burger King crown".

"here's a link with his picture."

Gee, I wonder who that could be!

Just to confirm, when I replied to your previous post, my sentiments were exactly as to what you just wrote ^. I didn't think the description of the guy was fair either.

That said, and since I wrote my first response to this matter, my feelings have indeed changed.

They'll allow you to check in as early as 12 pm as long as they have a room available but there is no guarantee until 4 pm. Tipping never hurts either.

And yes, we are special

1/2 barely ever runs now, 2/5 is de facto lowest PLO game

Doesn't run mid week that often (mostly during the series), runs fairly consistently on week-ends, sometimes there are 2 tables

Buy in is $200-$1,000

Incorrect. I'm younger. Play mostly 10/25 and 25/50 I'll leave it at that.

I am not a friend of Mr. Burger King crown. However, I do find his antics very funny. He comes to our table, sits down, monopolizes the conversation at the table basically telling us how he is a better player than any one of us. An hour later he has lost 1/3 of his chips and walks off muttering to himself and looking for another table. That is a sheep I am happy to shear $100 at a time. I am in no rush to skin him for $2000. My point has in fact nothing to do with BK himself. My point is that the Borgata needs to stop running home games with rabbit hunting, flips, allowing players to advise each other in foreign languages, etc., - the running of poker games recognized by the DGE and not home games is my suggestion. This suggests both the players and the dealers step up their game and behave in an ethical manner. But not only the players and the dealers. The 'victim' claims "...I was pretty drunk at the time..." Did the cocktail waitresses in the poker room serve him liquor way beyond the time they should have cut him off? And if BK crown and the 'victim' had been sober would we be discussing this matter now?! I use 'victim' in quotes because I have the feeling BK was the one being taken advantage of in general in this game. And that stronger players may have been taking advantage of weaker players in a manner contrary to the spirit of the manner in which games should be run in the 'best' poker room in the country is a matter that should be of concern...

I couldn't care less about the flipping incident. But this is flat out wrong based on my couple hundred hours at Borgata. Any time someone is talking in a foreign language, it's been halted by the dealer. The few times it hasn't and a player asked, it was immediately enforced. I have never seen anyone rabbit hunt or flip. Not to mention if the action posted about the "flip" is what actually happened, it's ethical. They verbally committed to a pot heads up.

Asking poker players in AC to behave "ethically" certainly seems pretty unlikely though. Most people are scumbags, degens even more so. I do my best at the table to be well mannered and principled but based on my experience I'm in the minority. Tbh, you're coming off like you have a bone to pick with Borgata. Maybe you play in different games then I do but I've never seen this rampant problem of drunks being overserved (saw a donator get cut off last month in fact and was annoyed but glad the floor did it) and questionable games with "child brides" that you're bringing up.

I guess I have seen different things in my past 500 hours. I can live with that. Like the time we were playing with Michael Vick. He was playing with over one thousand dollars of chips in a rack in his lap! Neither the dealers nor the floor commented on the fact he had most of his chips in his lap! Then the nittiest of floors walked by, and forced the chips to come on to the table. I did not object to the chips on his lap because I knew the next act in the play. Vick stood up, cashed out, and gave autographs and graciously submitted to a pix with a lady in a 1-2 NL game. (At the hours I play, alcohol served to obviously intoxicated patrons is rampant. And it is not only Borgata. The Taj has the best fights you will see in any poker room at 3am. (Think Slap Shot http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slap_Shot_%28film%29 , 'embarrassing promotional antics to keep local interest alive,' like the best fights in AC at 3am.) And these 'boxing' matches are thanks to the service of alcohol to obviously intoxicated guests. In one fight at the Taj, there was little space between the tables for the 'boxers', and so I was hit in the jaw by a stray punch while I was playing 1-2 NL, so I am sure we have different experiences!!!...)

In my experience it seems to be the older regulars there who complain more then anyone at a table. They act like since they play there 7 days a week they know everything, the dealer is always wrong, they are always right and cry about everything and the people just let it go on and on and on. They should boot a few of them for 24 hours until they learn to act like adults.

So it seems that you are OK with bending or ignoring the rules at times as long as the players in the game are willing to go along with it.

You are so right, so many older players or regular players do exactly this. But I have to disagree, while there are a lot of scumbags and degens at the poker table, that is the minority. Most poker players are ok people.

They are mostly good people but they hardly adhere to strict ethical principles when it comes to rules, drinking, and gambling...

Chiming in - the verbal bet is binding, does not matter if they pre-agreed to shove blind. We pay the borgata staff (technically they keep the funds in escrow) to ensure a clean and safe game where the rules apply to everyone.

I have had callers slowly put money in the pot when they call my bet and lose. during those times i have wondered what to do if they refuse to pay. Now I know - just ask the dealer to have them put in chips before I show my hand. If that makes me slow roll so be it.

As for child brides, alcohol, rabbit hunting - I have not seen anything like that at Borgata. This is a great room with wonderful staff - I hope they keep providing high quality service for a long time.

Claude Rains was only nominated for an academy award for denying knowledge of gambling in a casino. You folks would have easily taken home the Oscar for denying alcohol is served to intoxicated persons...

decide for yourself:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nM_A4Skusro

(If you had said something more realistic like 'I've never seen a cocktail waitress' or 'been able to get one to stop at my table' or 'get one to actually serve me a drink' then I would have believed you! Jokes aside, even though I've had concerns in the past few years, service of beverages in the past month has been quite good, thank you.)

Borgata will announce 10 winners of $10,000 each hour from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M. today!
To enter, insert your My Borgata Card into any slot machine or open a table games rating from Noon to 6:30 P.M. on 07/06/13.
Anyone interested in a pink chip game from 3pm to 7 pm to pass the time?

I agree 100% most people are really pleasant to be around. It usually is the same 7 or 8 older regs who are always upset about something.

You do. If you stay at The Borgata you only have access to the indoor pool at The Borgata. However if you stay at The Water Club you have access to all of TWC pools as well as the indoor Borgata pool.
