well i am not that picky when it comes to room selection, I am there to gamble not to go to the pool or party so yeah for me personally there is no difference between the two different rooms, they are equally very nice.

does anyone else have same problem with the comped rooms? I used to have everyday comped in March/April except Saturdays, but its changed up a bit now I only have Sun~Thurs now. Maybe I needed to book at the moment I see rooms comped and now its fully booked.

You should definitely book it as soon as you see it. Worst case scenario you cancel it the day before.

In the winter WC and classic are probably even... but it the summer time WC is >>>>>> it's not even remotely close. Pool access, no children, short check in lines, closer to poker room.

if it's a table break, you can match biggest stack at new table. if you request transfer you can't

Is there a limit to how many times you can book comp rooms in a month?

I had a change in my schedule and want to go down every weekend for February and March. Right now every Thurs-Friday in March is showing as comped in my calendar, can I book rooms for every weekend? Will I get penalized in some way (cancelled reservations, fewer comped rooms, etc) if I book so many trips?

Nope, as long as they are available you can book 2 nights per week if that's your offer. I always book ahead and cancel if decided not to go later.

You don't hear the elevators running no matter the location of the room.

Played Friday night through the wee hours at the best 1/2nl table ever. Lively bunch, having a good time, still playing poker. Over $5k on the table thanks to a couple guys who kept reloading.

Went upstairs for a nap after the most frequent rebuyer (he was in for $1800, I think: run it way up, lose it all, rebuy, rinse, repeat) left around 7.

No hot water in Borgata rooms yesterday morning, boo. But the front desk bought lunch to make up for the tepid showers. (There must have been a little hot water, just not enough...the taps in the casino bathrooms ran hot.)

The facilities problems also made the poker room quite chilly, many hot drinks were ordered just to warm fingers. Saturday's 1/2nl tables looked a pretty uninspiring lot. I checked around several times for somewhere promising to move to, but didn't see any where I wouldn't be a serious drag on the average age (and I'm not that young).

I'm in agreement with all this. I'm 23 and used to being the youngest at the table but I couldn't find a table with anyone younger than 40 last night it was pretty crazy. And I have no problem sitting with older people but these groups wouldn't even talk and there was no gamble in any of them. Literally like playing with cardboard cut outs. Very stark contrast from what I'm used to on Saturday nights with the tables having an occasional drunk club hopper on them.

It was cold as hell but I always run hot so I didn't mind it at all. The only times my table would talk was to complain about the heat.

Lots of people in for the foodie event, maybe, or regs coming out in force after skipping a couple weeks of (anticipated) long waits during the WPO. BBJ being high probably draws them in, too. The guy next to me was friendly, so we at least kept our corner from being too dull. He was very happy early on (we sat about noon) when I pointed out that Borgata & Co wasn't too far away and could sell him a sweatshirt.

Other than me outdrawing a grumpy old guy's flopped set for a big pot (he grumped at the dealer for a minute and then left) with 23hh, not even a lot of poker of note. Definite contrast to the crazy action and huge pots of my Friday night table. A guy who sat with us quite late because he couldn't get a limit seat asked if NL was always so slow...I didn't think it was moving all that slow, but there were definitely a lot of big bets and spots that required some thought. No tanking for nothing, no dithering in easy situations, just frequent need for careful consideration.

Regs also sitting for a couple hands and taking their hour breaks because its bonus comp month and they need to rack up their hours.

Yesterday I asked for a table change because a player was leaving and it would've left a table of nits with like 2 other people on break so it was a 6 or 7 handed table with me I can't remember.

Floor told me I would have to wait an hour to change tables since I wasn't leaving a full table which I thought was ridiculous. Who was right here?

It never takes that long to get into a game! If I do not like the game, I switch back and forth from 1-2 to 2-5. You can always pick up your chips, take a lunch break and come back in half an hour! No one is chaining you to a table to play with 6 nits and one of the reasons Borgata is for choice is the ability to play at another table without too much fuss (PLO, LHE, higher or smaller stakes)

If there's no list, it seems somewhat reasonable as the converse of seating new players at the emptiest tables first. But it certainly seems likely to lead to that sort of individual-unfriendly situations. You could go for a walk and hope the nits break the table, you could go eat and hope it fills up while you're gone, but either way you're not playing *and* you're holding a seat you don't want if they have a player who wants to sit. But if you don't want to pass some time not playing, there's not much to do but wait it out or change games for a while. I doubt there's a lot of point in arguing once a floor's told you you can't move.

I asked her to speak to another floor person politely and she eventually gave me a new table after like ten minutes instead of having me talk to someone else. It was just bizarre.

Why? I have never understood why people start freaking out and throwing fits when there are empty seats and/or people away from the table.

What is the issue?

I don't freak out. I can play short handed just fine. It's just when the wait list is really long when there is a tourney series going on that I think it should be implemented.
