I doubt it would ever come into play, but the $20+ pot is for 1/2 NL. On a 2/5 game the pot must be $50 because that's the threshold that they take the $1 for the jackpot.

For BBJ is there any rule like both players have to use both of their hole cards?

For example if the board is 789T all clubs, would it be a bad beet if one guy had Ah6c vs AsJc?

Also, what is the highest this thing has ever gotten up to?

That wouldn't be a bad beat. Both hole cards have to play for straight flushes. And it has to be a pocket pair for quads.

This is the highest it has been at the Borgata. Pretty sure it has been higher in town previously, I believe at both Caesar's and the Taj, but this one is certainly closing in quickly. I think those were both in the lower $600K's.

Just to clarify for those who don't already know. The BBJ that is about 600k, you must have Quad 10's or better for it to qualify

Quad 2'd - Quad 9's hits the smaller BBJ which is a smaller jackpot amount

To clarify the clarification:

If quad 2's-9's loses the jackpot is $50,000 and the $50,000 will be deducted from the main jackpot lowering it to $560,132 if it hits today.

Anybody down there this weekend know What the waiting lists were like for 1/2 and 2/5 table on Saturday? I'm almost getting mixed feelings that this Saturday is going to be a ZOO!

Stan, not sure if you check the MTT live page, but just wondering how many you are expecting in Saturday's PLO w/ the re-entries?

Played hold em at Borgata on weekends. Anyone know how big the cash no limit games are on weekdays? Thanks.

At one point in the afternoon there were 20 people on the 1/2 list, when they temporarily didn't have enough dealers to start new tables, but they got it cleaned up later. Last weekend was a zoo, but I think that was a combo of the BBJ and holiday weekend, this weekend shouldn't be as bad.

Winter weekdays 5/10 is usually the biggest NL game.

Thanks for the response. Do you know how many tables are running on average on normal tuesday/ wednesday of 1/2 and 2/5 no limit? Thanks.

My rough guess for the winter would be a peak of 7 and 3, but my guess is pretty rough as I don't play those games often, just walk through the sections on the way to my game. I would suggest scrolling back through the last few months' pages of this thread to check out the game reports that Stan posts pretty regularly.

your rough guesses are way off, multiply by three or four...the Borgata has an amazing number of 1-2 tables and the punch line is that there almost as many 2-5 tables, 80-90%!
for example, right now, games are closing as people are going to sleep or have left town for the weekend, and there are still 16 1-2 tables and 8 2-5 tables!...

for example (last week):

Time for a live game report Wednesday 4:45pm

(31) Live games

(13) 1-2 NL
(9) 2-5 NL

Action was INSANE this weekend. The fold machines were out in force for the BBJ. Could basically raise preflop/bet flop profitibly with 100% of your range from dealer, CO, HJ (although obviously you cant do it quite that often or they will actually catch on)... I ran like **** (AA vs KK, set over set etc all weekend long) and somehow still managed to be up 20 bucks at the end. Im sure if someone ran well they could make some serious cash at 1/2, even moreso than normal. I honestly wanted to stay all week, too bad I have no vacation hours :/

Also personal thanks to stan for fixing my room, because I screwed it up, and he came up in the clutch and saved our trip!

with any sort of effective planning, there should be no problem getting a seat at 1-2 and 2-5; the Borgata has four days to mobilize a battalion of poker dealers, that's easy...I remember having no problems getting into a 1-2 or 2-5 game when the BBJP was over 670K...though if the BBJP isn't hit by Saturday, the $30,000 Guaranteed Big Stack PLO Weekend poker tournament on Saturday could Spice the poker room Up a Notch!...

There are usually 5-8 2/5nl games on a normal Tuesday. There are usually 7-9 2/5nl games on a normal Wednesday.
