Rumors are that soon Borgata will be allowing live straddles, buying the button, and raising the 2-5 NL max buy in to 1k. Can someone who knows for certain comment? Specifically about the 2-5 max buy in. Why is the max being raised? Everything about the 2-5 games are just perfect right now.

Pretty sure Stan will chip in.

But in regards to the buy ins if it ain't broke don't fix it?

3/5 has a 1k Cap, there is a reason that this game never runs...

If Borgata wants to allow live straddling, I'm pretty sure all the other poker rooms in AC want to chip in on this too.

I have heard rumors of this as well, but I personally hope it is not allowed.
I really don't like when I have played in other parts of the country and the person to my left starts straddling everytime it is my big blind.

I think straddling, button buying, mississippi straddling, etc is limited by the gaming commission.

I believe that is correct; the rumor is that Borgata is trying to get some things changed. I think buying the button would be a great change and no one would object to that option. Straddles are more controversial.

The one most important thing that I think needs to be changed at the Borgata is this:

DEAL TO ALL STACKS AT THE TABLE UNLESS THEY HAVE A BUTTON IN FRONT OF THEM.

I am playing in a 20-40 limit hold em game. I pay my BB and SB. I then play my button. I then get up and walk away from the table for whatever reason. The dealer should still deal me in every hand until I get a missed blind button. If I come back and the dealer says to me, "I didn't see you in your seat. You didn't tell me to deal you in before you left your seat." that should be irrelevant. I posted my blinds. My chips are stacked in my seat on the table. I payed for my orbit of hands. I shouldn't have to tell the dealer "deal me in please" whenever I get up from my seat. The rule is horrible. The dealer should deal to a stack unless the stack has a button in front of it... plain and simple. If the player is not present when it is his action, muck the hand in turn. Am I missing something here?

I personally wish that there was a 1000 cap. The 2-5 game is great but very short-stacked. I also hate when at a table with 2-3 100BIS while I'm in for 500

100BIs are pretty often shove-fests and I do not like the obvious advantage of risking flips for 100 to win 5 v.s. bigger stacks calling to win less and risk losing more.

How can you lose $500 if your opponent has only $100?

This isn't a solution. If that game actually goes, it's god awful.

Question for Stan, or anyone else who may have an answer. I have one minor pet peeve about the room. Why is it that the staff there seems to treat empty racks like they are made of gold?

I play 2/5 and usually put my empty rack on the chair behind me in the space between where you sit and the backing. I've actually had floorpeople pull a rack out from under me while I'm sitting in the chair.

I understand that you want the place to look professional and not have 15 racks on the floor under each table, but it's a huge pain in the butt to have to go to the cage and stand in line in order to get racks then go back to the table, fill them up and go stand in line again to cash out. If you really feel the need to get them off of each game, can you at least have a box full of them at each podium so we don't have to wait in line twice in order to cash out?

The racks can be hazardous, if not just unsightly. I can't speak for the front, but the high limit area has a spot for racks on the podium.

I am almost certain they only take them out of chairs whe they are needed, mostly when they are collecting and.counting the bad beat jackpot money. Yet another reason the BBJ sucks.
