I'm setting a part of a bachelor party for next month and was trying to convince my friends to go to Borgata instead of Foxwoods. Most of us would play poker for most of one day, and then party and blackjack/craps the other day. My question is what should I get for rooms for a total of about 15 people (and maybe a few stragglers). Not everyone needs a bed, but we need to have one awesome room and probably 2-4 regular rooms. What would be recommended and should I book online or call?
Thanks!
Also Atlantic City has superior "alternative entertainment" to Foxwoods. Just be sure to call Bare Exposure in advance to make reserveations...

I think 5/10 is a bit too low, but I am available to play pink chip (7.50/15)mixed games any weekend. I think an all draw game would be a bit much for the dealers though.

Their job is to deal. They can all deal the draw games

They can, but they have to work harder for about half as many tips.

Always down to play mixed games between pink and 20/40, but don't really want draw only. Definitely want stud 8, razz and (at least) one draw game. Would rather leave out HE. Anything else i can take or leave.

I don't really feel too bad for the dealers having to deal an entire 1/2 hour of draw games. If you do, it's your prerogative to tip a bit extra.

Somebody has to come up with a solution to a faster, more efficient way of transferring from table to table (to a specific targeted table) at 2/5 nl at borgata, esp when there are 10+ games running and multiple floor people, who constantly come in and out of breaks.
Asking a floor person for a transfer to a particular game usually goes something like this:
Me: "Can i please get a transfer to table 25 when a seat opens there"
Floor: "Sure" (as he/she notes it on a piece of paper")
45 minutes go by, multiple seats open at various times, the floor sits players there (not me, who specifically asked for the transfer there), and I get screwed for another 30 minutes, not getting the fishy game that I want.
Seems like if I am not proactive in waiting and looking for a seat to open at my targeted table, the floor either forgets or couldn't care less. Or the floors change, they go on break, and they dont relay the information to the replacement floor. There has to be a solution to this, esp when im 8 tables over and cant constantly be targeting the table and waiting for a seat to finally open. Anyone have any solutions?

This only occurs during busy days, when there are a ton of 2/5 games running, and I can't be hovering around my targeted table every minute.

Perfect mix imo would be QBERT. And only 1/2 because of the name.

Agreed. This just happened to me last week, where after an hour I needed to remind the floor, he said yeah no problem & then left for lunch without telling anyone.....

I wonder if the bravo system can do it for you, by simply have the floor swipe your card at that table or at a terminal for whatever game/table you want, as soon as a player at that table is swiped out, you get flagged at your table, then you just go and get swiped in there.

This has prob been asked and answered but I can't find it. Are we getting awarded comp dollars for tournament play? Maybe something like on a $350+50, one gets 10 comp dollars. I'm thinking that at a 2/5 game $50 rake = 5 hours of play = $10 comp dollars. Thanks
Also one vote for a pink chip mixed game on the weekends

You are not currently getting any comp dollars for tournament play.

If you want to play pink chip mixed games this weekend, please vote by putting your name on the interest list this weekend! Start the list yourself if you have to.

I played the 40 game two weeks ago and the draw games were painfully slow. We got 2 stud hands and 6 td hands during one particularly awful down....

I saw that too a couple of weeks ago but this past week the dealers did a better job.

this. seriously. put your name on the list. if there is no list, start one. if you start one, check back in a half hour to make sure it's there. sometimes it's hard to get the people at the desk to take it seriously, or they are just very busy. whatever it is, it requires communal effort to get any low-limit mixed game going!

Do not destroy the integrity of QBERT!

Seriously, apart from the name, I like this combo because it includes all the games that one cannot easily play by themselves at the Borgata (or anywhere else in town for that matter). You can play 10/20 Omaha any day of the week. I would be more willing to add in Stud (high); while it is played regularly by itself, typical games spread are not at reasonable stakes for me.

yeah true, and right after i posted that i thought to myself "even though i want to play O8, i want to play as few games as possible to get to the draw games, so why did i suggest adding more to a nicely stripped down list" so yeah (still would rather play 5/10 fwiw)

QBERT

Once you go pink, you never go back! Also, there is no good ante size for a 5/10 limit stud game. I assume they would use 50 cent pieces like we did the one time I played 4/8 HORSE, but really I feel that is too low of an ante (especially for a raked game). The smaller the ante is the tighter proper play should be, and I would like to be able to play well without playing boringly tight.

That's kind of what I thought as well when I saw the mix. Many players have had tons of experience at LHE, OHE, and Stud, while I think many of the games in this mix are going to be a little more foreign to most players. I definitely enjoy playing ER, have played a decent amount of B, pretty bad at T, and have not played Q. Sounds like fun.
