I’d be surprised if that happens before a next lockdown with the way cases are headed. But it is possible, those waiting lists are crazy currently

i'd happily pay more in time rather than pot rake. 10/10 plo went from 6 to 7 which is fine.
i actually expected time rake to go up back when mgm took over as it at recently gone up at mgm properties in vegas and was very surprised that it didn't.

They had stacks of plexiglass Tuesday and were retrofitting tables. Didn't ask about any timeline

If there isn’t gonna be a lockdown 2.0 then I think that more tables is necessary, cuz that wait list is crazy on weekends and even weekdays. Pre pandemic you wouldn’t have to wait at all the majority of the time if you wanted to play 1/2 or 2/5

If they can somehow make the tables at least 8 handed and add in some more tables, that would be great.

I don’t think 8 handed gonna happen anytime soon, those plastic pieces custom built for 7-handed

On Bravo or in person? I see Bravo is up to 36 tables - can someone who’s there confirm?

wouldnt be surprised that all mgm owned properties use the same plastic design to cut down on costs.
(mgm national harbor is 7 handed)

Someone asked earlier in the thread about the cutout spaces between players. When playing yesterday I realized that they must be that way so that it fits all tables regardless of width of rail/racetrack

I've also played at both MGMNH and Borgata. Although it's the same style of dividers, some of the same seats on different tables still have either less or more space.

Harrah's has 8 player plexiglass already set up. I wonder if Borgata will be going to 8 players too.

You can add slabs per seating needed

You wouldn’t have to adjust the whole thing then? The plastic covers pretty much the entire table, an extra piece wouldn’t be hanging off the table? Or leave players with no room to put their chips?

One of the many dealers who were re-hired a few days ago confirmed the room will be going to 50 tables.

That's what I was thinking also. If you add another divider, you will also need to adjust all the others to have them evenly spaced. Doubt they are going to do that.

Harrah's in Atlantic City? Are they even re-opening their poker room? Haven't heard anything.

Or, are you referencing Horseshoe in Baltimore which IS 8-handed?

Check the Harrahs AC poker thread. There is a picture of a poker table fitted with plexiglass. Nothing official to my knowledge yet

8 handed poker is terrific and much needed. I hope Borgata decides to go 8 handed soon in addition to adding more tables to fit the needs of the poker starved community in this area.

The state of New Jersey along with the Borgata couldn't care less about the "poker starved community in this area." We are in the midst of a global pandemic. I'm surprised the casinos are even open. I am extremely happy that we even get to play.

Yup, unless I’m looking at it wrong you’d probably need to order an entire new set created for 8 handed

Dealer said last week that each divider set costs $3,000 . Not sure if MGM is willing to spend $120k to revamp every table when they just installed new ones.
