On my 'escape from AC' - I had a real scare on Friday as the Borgata had confirmed my rooms as Late as 10am Friday, and then I had a quite scary walk in solitude on Pacific Avenue only to find Greyhound shirking their responsibilities all over the NorthEast, thank god for the police and NJ transit. What I found at the entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel was a HUGE billboard promoting the September tournament at the Borgata, great work!

I think all the floor personnel that work at 5am do a great job. Their is a lot of nonsense that goes on at that hour and I have great confidence in the ability of the floor to draw the line in the sand in just the right place. One of the reasons I play at the Borgata at 5am is my respect and confidence in the floor personnel that work at that hour. I think the attitude they take is just the right one. I have no complaints!

After many adventures, (there were 65 people on the waiting list for 1-2 at the Sands Friday night, I never wait to play 1-2 @ Borgata, and a more pleasant stay on Saturday @ Foxwoods, an excellent buffet, but the Borgata buffet is of a much higher quality and in a different league) I found a 'safe harbor' in the woods of New England. A sharp cracking noise followed by a loud grim sound woke me up this morning. A tall tree had crushed a shed a few feet from my bed. Being an 'action' player, trees are my friends, even when the tops blow around like kites. My question: will there be a free-roll on Tuesday at noon?

It should be in a different league. It's almost twice the price of FW's buffet.

^^^You, sir, should be banned from humanity. Let's ask those who died during this storm whether this was a "non-event." Idiot.

Yeah but you know what Zoltan it could have been much much worse. This was supposed to be a hurricane and it was a tropical storm because it abated once it hit land. But I bought candles, stocked up on water, bought lighters and extra food, etc. And I saw people walking around outside occasionally when the storm was supposed to be at it's worst. So it really was over hyped tbh.

This is so pointless and not part of this, and will hopefully all be deleted. Do you know what happens when there is no power to power sump pumps? Tons and tons of damage, huge sections of NJ roads are completely flooded and under water. I know personally peoples businesses who were destroyed completely by flooding from this. Just because you personally didn't see anything bad doesn't mean it hasn't messed up other peoples lives. Like I said before you are being completely results oriented, they had the information that it could have been worse, they acted on it. This is like saying "I had a flush draw and it didn't come in, I should not have drawn to it even if the odds are right." The other thing is that people don't respond to "we think it may be bad." They have to be super serious to get people to listen. It could have went either way, there actions had to be made ahead of time. Everyone gets to be Captain Hindsight now.

Troll gonna troll.

Anyways, back to the thread...

I'm actually surprised AC casinos aren't opening today. I guess they have to give employees, most who probably evacuated, time to get back and take care of home first.

Would have been weird to see an empty casino floor on a Saturday summer night.

Heh, a tornado hit only 5 minutes from my house but didn't head towards my way. It was headed off in the opposite direction. Most of South Jersey and Atlantic City are very fortunate that the storm didn't cause the damage we thought it would cause. The real damage is to those who live near rivers, streams, creeks, and low lying streets that flood easily.
