No. iirc, just Hold 'Em, Omaha, Omaha hi/lo, Seven Card Stud, and Seven Card Stud hi/lo

You forgot single draw high and Mamba stud. 5 card stud is legal as well I believe...

Not totally true, there are other games/varieties too - I just do not remember which ones.
For example, you can play 7card stud hi/lo with NO QUALIFIER. (Razz with stud if you want to put it that way. But straight RAZZ is not permitted YET)
Stan came out one afternoon and gave us the entire list for out HOSE game so that we can add games.
If we ever could get a hose game going, again we could always pick from the list and make our own variation (of course, we would have to have an accommodating floor or Stan around).

I just want to make sure I have this right so I can be comped correctly....before I sit down at the table....I have the desk "swipe my card"...and when I'm done...I have them swipe again?

is that right?

Hand your comp card to the floor manager who would be directing you to your seat. They will hand it back to you or place it at your seat after they swipe it in.

When you're done with your session, go to the poker front-desk to swipe out.

Good luck.

Don't forget that part. I forget to swipe after almost every 8+ hour session, and as a result, my comps have dried up.

After forgetting a couple of times, I started putting my card in my cash section of my wallet so I don't forget before I leave.

I remember the casino I work at has dealing procedures for five card draw...not that it ever got spread. I don't know why we'd have that if you couldn't spread it.

Unless you leave busto and have no reason to open the cash section of your wallet ;-)

Is it a lot smaller now? I haven't been there since early '09

It was already upstairs in early '09 so it's prob the same size as you remember it being. Def not small at all...it's huge and about 85 tables.

edit: It's a 1 floor all inclusive gaming floor. So basically, now the poker room is on the same floor as everything else. If you haven't been there ever....or in a while, don't be confused about the "upstairs" "downstairs" talk

i remember reading on the CCC's website that 5 card draw high or low is allowed. but i think the wording sounds like single draw games, therefore NLSD but no TD.

so close! i would be down for this game but in my limited experience of trying to get people who are unfamiliar with it to play 2-7, triple draw limit is a fun action game and single draw NL is not. drawing 3 times for one or two bets vs drawing ONCE and having all your chips at risk when nobody really has a good grasp of relative hand strength makes a big difference in action.

does anyone know the history or reasoning behind what games were deemed to be ok to play and how they were defined legally vs not? seems pretty arbitrary

You might want to call and see if the survivor is running - they're running a satellite into the double play tourney the following weekend.

FWIW, both times I played in the survivors this year, the fields were under 150 and incredibly soft. Cashed easily both times.

I will ask this question again if Stan doesn't see it, but I don't get something about the cash giveaway that is run from Sunday - Thursday. I was just there last night and looked at the board that shows which envelopes have been picked and what their amounts were. There weren't too many blank spaces left, yet the promotion runs until August 26. By my calculations, there are 125 drawings still left (5 per day, 5 days per week, 5 weeks), but there is definitely not 125 open spaces left on that board. What happens when that board is filled? Will another one appear, or does that promotion just stop? I have to admit, I only ran down to play last night because of the drawing (and the fact that I had off from work on Friday) and might consider going on Sunday for the same reason.

Either way, if anybody has the answer, that would be great. Thanks.

I think Red Bull/Energy drinks are reserved for the high limit room. I don't know if any other drinks are reserved for there.

Yup, only place to get your sugar free red bull fix is in the high limit area. Also Evian waters as well.
