I just played one the other day and it was NEVER this horribad structure 2 years ago. It used to be at least an hour and a half til the blinds reached 150 300 and now its 200/400 after and hour which is like 20 hands live with 3k starting chips) Seriously stay away from sngs

Some questions for the regs,

1 - Do ALL hold'em tables qualify for the badbeat?
2 - If you call in (I assume this is possible), how long will they keep you on the waiting list before booting you off? An hour?

Thank you.

1. no, 10/20NL and 40/80 limit (and up) are not in the bad beat, also I think the 6max games are out, but they never run, so who knows (I wonder if 15/30 and 30/60 are in??? I sense more late night lobbying for 30/60, lol)

2. they'll keep you on the list until you're called

Thanks Bremen. I'm surprised as to 2. At least in the Detroit casinos, there's a one hour cap for a call in. Thanks again.

I always bring a hoodie with me because certain tables are directly under the vents and tend to be colder, but overall, the room is comfortable. I typically describe it was cold and muggy, an odd combination, I know.

Two big variables for Borgata is where you are located (ie under a vent, or ALL of the back high limit room) and time of day.

If there are more people there, temp will be all right... But later at nigh with less people, ambient temp drops considerably.

Also if your under a vent, your screwed because you will be freezing.

This is coming from a guy that always has a knit cap, light sweater and scarf with him at the table though...

guys that are complaining about the sngs... if you want a better structure, do one of two things: sign up for a bigger buyin sng (the levels get longer as they get more expensive) or sign up for a regularly scheduled tournament. the sngs arent supposed to last 5 hours.

If your under a vent in the high limit room, its freezing, regardless of how tough you think you are...

Thats why they have the dirty ebola blankets for the limit players on the right section.

I always go for whatever is quickest (Bread & Butter) however from a romantic perspective it is kindof lacking...

Seriously, you can't go wrong at any of the premier restaurants. Only real question is do you want steak/seafood/japanese/italian/american

Yeah, my default is Homestead but if you don't want steak I'd go somewhere else.

+1 mirrion

Even if you're not into sushi, the Scallops robitayaki are outstanding, as is just about everything else on the menu. I go every time I'm at the B for at least one meal.

For late-night steak lovers, the Cafe Metropolitan $28 New York Strip steak with buttery-flavored mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables is a great alternative when Old Homestead and Bobby Flay are out for the night.

Medium-rare!

Izakaya is terrible. Flay and Homestead are great. Forneletto is pretty good too.

Btw Stan, is the borgata website down ? Haven't been able to access it since last night
