Unless your running super hot at 2/5, $500 cap I would say less than half of the grinders make more than $30 an hour.

Ok esch...are you Asian? Heheh :-P

I'll be in the poker room Friday Night after 8 PM and I'm the Asian with a red Phillies' cap, a pair of aviators and fiddling with my iPod Nano once in awhile. Yell out "spicy" or "Sanman" (my college nickname from Rutgers) and I'll holler a "YO!"

Look for me at 1-2 or 2-5 PLO if it goes. Otherwise, I'll be in the sea of 1-2.

This weekend, we need to all do quick 2+2 introductions at the 1/2 PLO game. Just so I can figure out what the heck you guys are posting about here. I mean, I remember the hands you all are talking about, but most of the time I can't remember some of the people involved.

Some of the staff were supportive of a bump up in the comp level. I'd love to see it at the same level as the 10/20 O8 game. Similar starting stacks and rake level. "Size" similar to 2/5 NL. etc. Would definitely perk up some more interest in the game. We should probably persue it with Joe (supervisor?) this weekend and see how far we can get.

btw, random tip for everyone else. Get me to play 4-handed with you and I will dump massive amounts of chips to you in short periods of time. Either I'll be getting it significantly behind or you will hit your 1-5 outers. Guaranteed.
Yea, I definitely thought esch was 'some white guy', just like you thought I was as well. I talked about 2+2 pretty openly last week but I guess you weren't there for that. You can pretty much figure anyone who is somewhat decent as a 2+2er, whether they want to admit it or not.

It's good that the raising the comp level for PLO is being well received. I would play in it anyway, but the games would get better and I would get free food 2x as fast. I'd take it.

I will if my side job pays me handsomely this week or if I get good run in the aforementioned lower-limit games. Would love to take a fun shot and play in the high-limit room for the first time.

i agree and about 80 pct of the regs are crappy nits and more importantly with bad game selection who think 40 hrs a week is 40 hrs a week no matter what
do i think someone can play noon to 8pm mon-fri and make that much- hell no
but so many of these regs play the same exactly way no matter how their opponents play
ive had tables where i play probably 12/5 and ones where i play 40/35 and thats just preflop
these guys will NEVER make more than 20 an hr in 2/5

additionally i believ 100+ an hr is easily done 4-5 handed
these regs honestly think small pots arent worth fighting for and dont understand that these pots are extrememly important
these players have less than 0 clue how to adapt and will constantly put in 25-30 pre, 50 on the flop and fold
they also often tell you exactly what they have if you listen carefully enough
theres a reason that when the game goes from 10 handed to 9 handed half the regs immidiately clal for the floor to fill the seat or when 2 tables are 5 handed they want to merge the tables

they also have egos
if i have some good players to my direct left time for a table change
there are plenty of other tables available

sunday was here, crushed for 1800 playing PLO, 10/20 and 2/5 NL. Even my buddy cashed in the survivor who I swapped 50% with so i took half his cash from that. Real fun time, today not so much, bled 100 playing shorthanded 08, and then down 250 playing 10/20.....taking a break might play a little 2/5 or something, I don't feel like I've got the A game going so I might hit up a sit and go, room is nice and busy tho

I don't play it too often, but there are many regulars that frequent the game, mostly older people. Usually there are 5 people I see playing on the weekends: 2 women, 1 really old grumpy guy, 1 college professor guy, and a middle aged larger man that is very friendly. The couple times I did participate in the game, they played relatively close to the vest. I see some younger people try and play once in a while. The thing is that the regulars like to buy in for small amounts: typically, when I walk by, if there are 10 people playing, I see at least 3 or 4 with stacks under $300, sometimes even under $200. For me, I'd start with at least $500, maybe $600 and I know these people aren't doing that. Also, they hate to play short handed; if it gets down to 5 or 6 people, look for the game to break. Not sure why that is, but it happens every time.

If you're rolled for it, they have been frequently running the $100/$200 version of his in the high limit room pretty often. It seems like every weekend I go down, it's running, but I know nothing about that game. Go through this thread and look at some of Stan's game reports to see how frequently both the $10/$20 and the $100/$200 games run.

A. I'm not young...36 years old

B. I was reading that the Water Club at Borgata does not allow beverage coolers so I figured I'd ask about the original tower at the Borgata.

C. I ALWAYS take at least one bottle of booze on my trips to AC, I just didn't want to get there with a cooler and have some one tell me you can't bring it in.

I don't like controversy, so is it such a big deal to try and get some info ahead of time to avoid any??

Last time I stayed in the Borg I got my room comped and I hadn't even played yet. I had a friend who had the same thing happen before. Does that happen at the Borg sometimes? They just give comp you randomly? How does that work?

Anyone know how many runners were in yesterday's 11 a.m. 15k guarantee game? I know Stan's away this week. Tab, any possiblity of you posting how many players enter the 11 a.m. tourney yesterday?

I was wondering whether you got the usual 300+ or something less. Thanks!

FX

Not at all! I don't really play anything but craps for like 15 minutes. I told someone at the desk I was in a car accident, so I think that may be the reason. But the my friend told me he had the same thing happen to him. I'm going this weekend and was hoping to get lucky again. Guess not...
