7AM on a Weekday, most 2/5 games are just filled by regs/grinders...

Last time I played a 2/5 game, I started in the morning. There were regs, but aside from like 2 I identified as good, rest were pretty poor.

Amen! I used to wake up, drive down and play 2-5 NLHE early weekday mornings almost regularly late last year and always believed I would smash the drunks and the sleepyheads. I left with a nice net-profit 3 out of 5 times on average, which was decent than peak times at nights and weekends.

I'm not saying all of the regs are great players. But usually will have more weak/tight players/rocks at this time than any other

Most of my 2/5 shots have come during the day and many of the players are terribad, worse than the night games when 4-5 players get like 2k stacks. There might be 1 or 2 people with huge stacks during the day. A downside is the shortstackers, although that's a problem regardless of time.

2/5 games seem much tougher now then in past. And I usually play once a week, either Fri or Sat nights. Not nearly as many drunks and others just looking to have a good time. That being said good solid poker (and solid poker can be different things to different players) still wins in the long-run.

How's the wait on a Sat night for 1/2 and 2/5 NL's? I'm usually at Mohegan/Foxwoods... looking forward to seeing the Borgata room.

Give them a break. Some of them cant reach seats 3 and 8.. and they are sitting up all day. Reaching like that cant be good for the lower back and I think it's only "nice" to push your chips further in if you are in a "far" seat.

Stan,

Even though I see you are in Depark poker room, when you return, can you tell me if pot-limit hold'em has the same status as Razz in NJ (not allowed)? Wouldn't mind playing either a pot-limit hold'em or a pot-limit hold'em/omaha table once in a while. Somebody else asked in another thread and it got me curious; thanks.

It's probably in the same status as Razz in that very few people will probably want to play it, and it'll be hard to get a game going, unless previously organized here.

Then let's organize it! 30 minutes 5/10 limit razz, 30 minutes 1/2 PLH!!! What a mix!

lmao the game would be HAR, of BBV fame. If that game runs, you have to say HAR HAR HAR when all in with a strong hand but villain has outs.

No PL Hold'em. We are very close to Razz.
