Hose game went for about 4 hours, two of which were full with 8 people. It was fun and had a great group of people.

Been away for a while... 5/10 HOSE, eh? Sounds great. Does this go often?

Not sure how often it goes, but if I knew it was running at least once a weekend, I'd definitely play in it. It's just so much more interesting than 1/2NL, although there's more money to be won in NL of course. I think the tournament brought out the mixed-game players; hopefully during the summertime, the more casual players will join the game and make it more interesting. Gotta love playing Stud 8/b against people who run with 8-7 lows lol

I've heard about this in the past.

So what do you think, Stan? Are Borgata black cards up for sale? Is this like slipping someone at the front desk $20 for a room upgrade?

Should someone like this be trusted, as an employee of Borgata? Or should a loyal Borgata patron get the seller's name and report him?

Or should he just be ignored?

if it's $200 that gets paid to the Borgata as a "secret fee" for loyal poker players to be upgraded to black status, then I'm in.

If it's just an employee who's personal fee is $200 to upgrade, then ... I might be tempted.

we take all of these issues very seriously. The only thing is I've read all of his post on both the Borgata thread and the DP thread. Not sure what to think.

Yeah I remember the guy trolling the Borgata thread as well... Pretty sure english is not his first language... and he writes at about a 3rd grade level...

But regardless, you think that illegal upgrades would be fairly easy to track. Just look at the last 20 manual upgraded red cards (only way to track from red to black) and see if prior play warrants the upgrade

I've been offered upgrades for cash in the past. I've also had floor people tell me if i was playing 2-5nl they would clock me in for 40-80 LHE, if i took care of them on one of the days they were dealing instead of flooring. That's how you upgrade and maintain your black card status.

Also i've always wondered how a guy could be clocked in 18-20 hours everyday of the week, and nobody notices that it's impossible. If i remember correctly, everyone gets clocked out at 5am and if you're still in the room you have to be re-clocked in. Show up around 5-6am clock in, play 15 minutes, leave, go back to bed. Come back whenever, play your session, leave. Come back at 5am and repeat. It's crazy how many people can play poker 144 hours straight.

Get the card swiper built into the table like the Commerce and end it all.

I had a greattime playing with everyone Saturday. Hopefully I'll get to get back down and play again soon.

We catch people doing what you just mentioned. It's easy to spot. When we catch them we will freeze their account and zero out the comp ballance. We may either let them play without earning comps or ask them to leave permanently.

Ha! That was great! I've never seen someone bring in so many times in the stud games! Estimated about 75-80% of the time. I ended up +$359; after you left, on the last hand of the table, I hit the 8 to make a straight flush to the 10 and a low to scoop a huge pot against this one guy. I ran pretty well.

Allow me to translate his works.

Post 1- I will start to slowly sow the seeds of my master plan of discrediting the Borgata! I will say how nice it is first, that way once I start trying to post "concerned questions" you can clearly go back and see that I love the Borgata but am purely a concerned player "just asking questions".

Post 2- Part of the driving interest in putting down the B is to drive traffic to the other casinos I intend to frequent which are closer to my home.

Post 3- The first time I was in the Borgata was the day before and there are 61 games running which is more than any other card room I have ever been in, but hell maybe this will convince someone reading that the Borgata is failing and they should play closer to where I live.

Post 6- Oops I dropped my pom pom, I also have no problem spreading minformation. I am merely announcing this information so the rest of you will know where "rocking" things are happening. Not to drive players to the games I intend to play in.

Post 7- Just in case anyone forgot I love the Borgata!

Post 10 (Next post in thread)- I am confused, is it wrong for this to be happening? In case anyone thinks I am just making things up, note the post directly above this one showing my devotion to the Borgata. Clearly I am confused by this activity and am just looking for closure on what appears to be an unsavory activity.

Post 8- Even though it was my first time at the Borgata yesterday (as posted myself), I am bringing attention to the many Boragata regulars at this other casino.

also while skimming this last page i saw some controversy as to 20/40 limit being included in BBJ. not sure who was complaining but the regs at the table LOVED the idea and the casual players like myself also loved it. it was complete universal approval on all 3 tables i got bounced around too.
