I'm looking into playing the $560 deep stack but my roll is very small and taking this shot is risky so i'm trying to get 50/50 with someone and im definitely playing the 170+30 and 300+50 nlhe events. Not sure yet about the 560 event bc its a lot but the structure is amazing. Check my OPR out.... I know i don't have a lot of volume but I have solid stats and believe I play much better live and I have a lot of tourny experience live.

Private Message, which one can only send or receive after a certain number (?) of posts at 2+2.

Yes it does, but it took a hit with the players going to vegas for the WOP. Now that the other BBJP hit on Sunday it will be strong again this weekend.

This is correct. The players like the $30-60 but they think it will draw more players at $20-40.

Not good. I guess there's no shot at ever getting a 15/30 stud game there. When they used to have 75 and 30, I always hoped they'd get a 15 game going. I guess I have to stick with risking my life at Taj in order to play stud w/in my bankroll

Maybe 10/20? I think that's doubtful since most of the mix game players would walk during the stud8 portion of the game.

is there ever a 5/10 LHE game, or does the pink chip game ever get off?

You have landed on 3/6. Go directly to 10/20, do not pass Go, do not collect $200.

$5/$10 HOSE or pink-chip $7½/$15 HOSE would be epic if it ran this Friday & Saturday!

When I play limit games, I tend to stick to a formula of 30x the big bet, so in this case, $600. However, sitting with $500 is fine, especially since most of the people that play the 10/20 at Borgata seem to buy in for $300 or so usually. I've seen people buy in for $200, but personally, anything under $500 handcuffs you.

It's a jump, as most 3/6 players are easy to read and do not check raise. It's a little more deceptive at 10/20, but I've seen other people in this forum say that the game is very soft. I tend to agree, but getting drawn out on by these people drives me nuts sometimes.

ok. I'm asking because my LHE experience is somewhat limited, but I feel my general mindset suits LHE better than NLHE when there's a decent amount of money on the line (i.e. live as opposed to online).

I know direct comparisons are hard, but how are they, skillwise, compared to 2/5 NLHE players?

$4/8 HOSE has a chance to run on Saturday, and Stan is on board and will push the game, etc. There will be lots of traffic in the room due to the tournament.

Pink chip LHE is almost near impossible to get going, let alone three other games thrown in too.

I have only played the 3 a few times while waiting for a game, but when I did it seemed that most people in the game barely knew how to play. 6-8 to every flop and crazy passive.

For the 10, it can very much depend on the time of day and who is playing, the game can be dry. But I have exceedingly rarely seen it be a "tough" game. On the weekends though I have seen it raised pf utg and get 7 cold callers. I will say that it is noticeably more difficult than the 3 as you will face more aggression.

If your bankroll can sustain it I definitely suggest giving the 10 a shot on the weekends (starting on Fri nights). If you can play SSLHE ala Ed Miller you will win in the game. Sweat the game before you sitdown, look for what kind of action is going on. You will definitely see a few player types in the 10 that you will never see in the 3 but rarely will it be more than 3-4 of the table.

Side Note: If losing $500 in two hours to a few draws not hitting, and your AA (which you patiently waited for and started counting your money before the hand is over with) losing to 5-8 off who cold called you in mp, flopped a bottom pair 5, rivered an 8 and raises you when you value bet the river all while having no other draws, will monkey tilt you because of the dollar value than you may want to hold off. You will surely need to embrace the variance.

Other question: One rack, $500 in red.

are the limit games actually beatable? I saw a video on cardplayer with jimmy fricke talking about how small limit games were really tough to beat with the rake and everything? Is 3-6 pretty easy (i've played 2-4 at turning stone and its just too low for me bc normally 6-7 players see a flop even with a pf raise).
Also how does the comp system work there? do you just hand ur player card to the dealer and they swipe it and u swipe out when ur done playing?

LHE are def beatable. For more info, search the lhe forums. As for comps, you need to give your card to the floor who seats you. They swipe you in. You must clock out when you leave by either seeing a non-busy floor, or by visiting the podium on your left as you leave if it is open. If you forget to clock out, you will not receive any comp dollars.
