Hey Stan,

Me and another 2p2er are planing to come down next Sunday for the deep stack turbo.

I was wondering if their is any poker room rates available? I see the room rate is up to 169+ tax for a Sunday night?!?! If their is anything you can do please let me know.

THANKS IN ADVANCE

Make sure the camera crews start at the buffet. That is 90% of most players story at the Borgata. Start with breakfast, move onto lunch, and have the final table at dinner...

I didn't recognize any 2+2ers at the 1/2 PLO Saturday night. It was one of the best games I've seen in a while, with 1 very obvious donkey with his slightly less fishy friend. I was seated next to a 2-5 reg who I had played with before who had many interesting stories and gossip of players. It was a pretty up and down night and after I was bailed out a 3rd time with a short stack I just left a small loser.

One odd thing that occurred when we noticed that a man who had just bought in had 5 stacks of red and, to me, seemed, like a 6th stack of reds with a green on top. However, it turns out the stack was all greens. The man thought the max buy-in was 1000, which the floor had confirmed thinking the game was 2-5. Fortunately, no one in the game really cared. Conversely, the floor did a very good job promoting the game, and there weren't any open seats until 3-4AM. I should be there next Saturday in the PLO game. Hopefully I will see you there esch, it is odd not seeing you in the 1-2 PLO game.

The 1-2 plo has been really good for quite some time now. We've even had the fortune of some total newbies playing in the game. Hats off to the borgata floor people for pushing the games. I can see it becoming an everyday game some time in the near future.

Anyone else feel the tables have taken a hit since the other poker rooms have opened? or am i just blowing this out of proportion?

I posted this on the AC is Hurting forum

I can't speak for the rest of the other poker rooms in A.C. but yes the poker room has seen the affects of the new rooms in DE and PA. I would guess to say that within the last month about 90 new tables are in play. With that said, How many games should we be down year over year due to the new tables? Most would thing alot. Below is my post from last year August 7, 2009and below it is the post i made tonight. They look very similar to me. I am not saying that it didn't have some affect, it did, but what some people might be missing is that poker players live in NJ as well. Alot of our regulars live withing 30 miles of the Borgata. Not in PA or DE or NY. Our mid-week play comes from right here near us. Just as you now have a room near you, you will be able to play more than you were able to in the past. This is what our locals have been living with for years and i am sure the locals will continue to support us. To be honest, I think the economy has had more affect on us than the new tables.

I'm pretty sure I heard an announcement Saturday for the 1-2 PLO game announcing the 200 min / 1000 max buyin (and talking about how loose/bad the players were in the game, which was pretty funny). I remember thinking at the time that they had the buyin amount wrong.

Anyone here at the 10/20 O8 game on Saturday?

I am one of these people and feel that theres a lot more like me that will always keep the room going strong. Also second the idea with the economy.

$3500=auto-playing. $10k=more likely not.

1/2 PLO = 100min, 500max
2/5 PLO = 200min, 1000max

Can anyone tell me what the qualifications are for poker rates are? Specifically for a Saturday night.

Do I have to have hours on my card, or can I accumulate like 10 hrs at 1/2 or 2/5 NL that day/overnight and get the poker rate when I check out the next day?

I haven't been able to get down to the Borgata in the past year or so, but I have played tournies and 1/2 NL and 2/5NL there in the past.

thanks.

It's 100bb for the 2/5 games. Which i still don't understand why the 1/2 players have deeper stacks than the 2/5 players.
