Yeah! Even the 80 limit game was going, and that game hardly ever goes anymore since one donator went to jail and half the regs were banned for life.

I've been playing too long and drinking too much to write a good trip report but in general the play was really bad until all of the bad players got busted. Then it was actually a pretty tough game. And that is coming from someone who has played PLO almost exclusively for the last 6 months, mostly live, in casinos in a few different countries. In the 5/10 pretty much every hand was raised pre, usually with a bunch of callers, making most flop pot sizes of around $150-$200. Not much 3 betting at all. No 4 betting. No preflop all ins or anything. Postflop there was plenty of action as is expected with multi-way pots and big stacks. (It was $4k max buy in and the avg was prob $2k)

I guess I am a fish when it comes to playing 5/10 PLO. I payed people off when I shouldn't have and I kept drowning on the river. I did not think the main game that started around 2 was any good. Maybe it got better after I left. The 5/10 NL game I played in at night was fantastic. I haven't seen action like that in a long time, we were playing $20 straddles every hand.

Everyone says they want mixed games and how much they love mixed games. How much they want PCG. Lets see we tried HOSE with 4/8 limit, we tried PCG with mixed games. The only regular mixed games are in the nose bleed section. Why would a 5/10 game be any different? Hell we could not even keep the 10/20 2 way game going.

If someone can come up with a solution and a way to get the game going I am positive that the staff at borgata will make it happen.

Small stakes mixed games are like threesomes. Everyone claims to love them and be willing to participate and may even have stories of the times they did it when they were younger, but I don't know anyone who is doing it now.

I don't like stud hi and I'm not a huge fan of stud hi-lo. Hence I would not have played HOSE unless it was while I was consuming copious libations and donating a rack or two of whites to fellow 2+2ers.

I like PLO, O8, and LHE best, and I'll play NLHE in a mix if others will play the games I enjoy. I loved the pink game when it ran as O8 and HO (or even HOE, though I liked that less), but I believe that no pink-chip games which include O8 in the mix will be spread because it is too close to the 10/20 O8. I'm not 100% sure about that; hopefully Stan will correct me if I have misstated policy (and my apologies if that is the case).

It's especially a shame because the pink chips are newer and don't stick together as much as the reds and whites.

BTW I haven't been to the Borgata in quite a while and I really miss it, but my May and June are jam-packed. Hopefully I can squeeze in a quick trip in May though.

Now, my friend, you know one and I am on the + side of 40.

I find the O8 game to be a refreshing break from holdem and the 10/20 half kill game at the Borgata to be relatively easy. Late friday night we made the game 15/30 at the request of several of the donators and they just blew thru their chips quicker. I too, would love to play in steady mixed game. It's not that Borgata wont accommodate it, its that there aren't enough players at these smaller levels.

One way to maybe see a game go is to just list the game on the board as "$5/10 mixed".
Then when the game is called/players sit down the dealer would have signs for each game, and then the players can vote on the mix, etc. It's a longshot I know, but maybe this would help with the people that don't want to play certain games.

FYI, Taj has been spreading a semi-regular 10/20 HOSE game. Reason I mention it is that when I played that game recently it was started by two former 10/20 2-way regs who wanted to still play stud h/l.

Still can't believe that Borgata can't get a small or mid stakes mixed game going on a Saturday...

Word around the room is that someone folded kings full last night for 900 with a pot of 1400 in a 5/10 nl game. A tight old guy had put in a 4th river bet in a limped pot on a 995kq rainbow board. The young guy folded kk and the old guy showed k9. Can anyone verify this fold?

I don't know how I ever find a fold in this situation.

So it went...

K's full bets river
Tight Older Gent (TOG) raises
K's full re-raises
TOG 4 bets river?
Fold
?????

I mean, if you're gonna fold there you might as well just call the re-raise and show it down.
